I came across this place by Lonely Planet, but at first I wasn't too keen based on appearances. It's off a main road down a dirt street and looks a little run down. After a quick tour and a chat with the owner I decided to stay, and I'm glad I did. It really felt like you were welcomed into their home and they were more than happy to help whenever they could. The owner and workers, including their tuk tuk driver buddies, always had a big warm smile on their faces and would have a friendly chat. There is a restaurant on site too, around $1.50 for a small breaky and $3-4 for a delicious meal (a little more than in town but still not back). I had a single room (double bed and fan) for $5 with cold water, ($8 for hot showers but who needs that in hot ol' Siem Reap?). They organised all my tours and bus travel, for very competitive prices too. There's no question about it, I would definitely stay here again!
