“Booking service that cheat the guests”
Reviewed December 31, 2011

I booked 9 hotel rooms for the new year day. But it turned out that they didn't have two available rooms for us once we arrived at the hotel. They booked two rooms from other guest house nearby for us. But the guest house was like a short-time guest house. So our group had to spend three hours to find available rooms in other hotel. It's very difficult to find because it's a new year time. they should not cheat the guests like this.

I stayed in Siem Reap for nearly four months on a work trip and I stayed the whole time at Riverside. The place offers everything you need in a hotel plus a lot more that you cannot advertise. The rooms were spacious, clean, ac, fridge, fan, etc. The hotel itself had good wifi (for Khemer standards,) 24 hour security, pool with poolside bar, travel arrangments, complementary breakfast etc. Infrastructure wise, Cambodia has everything you need in a hotel. The location is also hard to beat as its a short walk from the city center, but quiet enough that you can sleep in sileance at night.

What really appealed to me about riverside however is the genuin hospitable nature of all of their staff. I never had to worry about my belongings being messed with and everytime I entered or left the hotel I was warmly greeted. The staff is astounding, helpful, friendly and seem to really want to give you the best experience possible. Instead of sitting in my room watching tv in my free time at Riverside I would sit at reception or outside with security just hanging out.

Two other things to note about Riverside. It is Khemer owned and the owners are always around and like the rest of the staff, really want the most for their guests. I say this because Cambodia has a problem with foreign owned businesses because tourism money coming into the country goes directly out. It is nice at Riverside to understand you are dircetly helping locals with your travel.

And also what everyone else says is true. Their complemntary breakfast pancakes are out of this world.

We were originally supposed to stay three nights but finally we stayed 5 nights so the staff was friendly and welcoming. And what a pleasure to enjoy a pool when he was over 34 degrees Celsius throughout the day.
AC, Fan, Freedge, Clean Bathroom, TV, Restaurant
Nice breakfast with the famous pancakes and bananas.
So close from the center but without the noise.

just the cushion is too high!!!!

Room Tip: with view on the pool, you are away from the street so quieter

We stayed at the Seam Reap for 2 nights in November and found a wonderful staff who took the time to learn our names and for whom nothing was too much trouble. Only a 5 minute walk to markets, the venue was an excellent stopover on our 5 weeks in Asia. With swimming pool, restaurant, breakfast and internet included, and better than average rooms, all at a very reasonable price, we could have happily extended our stay had time permitted.

i stayed here for 4 nights in october, thankfully we arrived just after the flood waters subsided.
it was my 3rd trip to se asia and my second to siem reap and nowhere comes close to this gorgeous hotel.
its run by a local family, who along with their staff provide amazing service, and made our whole group feel welcome! all the staff were very friendly, genuinely curious about our homeland and spoke great english!!
the rooms are generous, extremely clean and modern!
oh and did i mention the food is great and their new pool was a perfect way to unwind after a day of temple touring.
ill be back!!!!!

we stayed here whilst volunteering at ACODO orphanage for 12 days in October. The location was perfect for us as it was right between ACODO and the centre of Siem Reap. Siem Reap was flooded whilst we were there and the hotel staff couldn't have been nicer and more helpful. They remembered our names, talked to us about our day, helped us plan where we wanted to go, and the owners even picked us up and dropped us back at the airport. The pool is amazing and the food was some of the best we had in Siem - all in all it was great value and great service. I will definitely stay there again.
