The Good
Good price
Staff- helpful

The Bad
No electricity for over 12 hrs on one of the days we stayed. No generator . No electricity means no water to shower or flush the toilet
The stairs are steep- ground floor rooms might be better if you cannot climb steep stairs.
No double lock on doors to room
Towels smelled
Aircondition weak

Recommendation:
Use pool in main bldg, no sun on the other bldg

4 th time at Golden Banana, always a pleasure, great location, friendly team, quiet, swimming pool , close to Siem Reap major spots : will stay there again, the best rate for quality I have found so far in Siem Reap !!

Room Tip: superior rooms by the pool, but B&B , cheaper and quite convenient.

We stayed at the GB for 3 nights during our trip to Siem Reap. We stayed in the superior hotel which is slightly seperate from the B&B rooms. It has it's own swimming pool and is situated up a quiet alley away from all the noise, but still walking to distance to all the action.

The staff were really helpful throughout our stay, but check out was a little slow and painful.

The rooms are good... cleanliness leaves a little to be desired with lots of stains around the toilet area and some mould in the shower. The bed was comfortable and the A/C was quiet.

We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

Good, small hotel, proposing different levels of accomodation quality in the same location (premises next to each other). Good value particularly for the B&B. Staff friendly, quite place, good atmosphere. Location is convenient.

Very well decorated hotel with homely rooms and lovely verandas. Swimming pool was shady and refreshing after a day at the temples. Staff were very helpful and breakfast was served each day with fresh coffee and baguettes. Our families enjoyed the hotel very much finding it quiet and well situated. The kids loved the pool although other guests were probably not expecting their peace to be shattered by 5 kids in the pool. Great value!

the moment my friends and I stepped in GB, we were welcomed by the GB staffs with their sweet smiles & cheerful greetings! They were all very nice and friendly. The only issue I encountered was that they made a mistake on my bookings. However, they appeared to be very apologetic and gave me a discount to appease me :)

We spent two nights at superior GB and two nights at its B&B. We were very happy with the conditions of the room at superior GB. There are 3 queen size beds in the room and a spacious balcony attached to it! Although we were a bit disappointed when we transferred to the b&b (the room aint as excellent as the superior ones) we did not have huge complaint, as the price for b&b is cheaper than the superior room. The only huge diff is that instead of 3 queen size bed, the b&b's room only provides for 2 Queen size bed.

Generally we had a great time in GB. Ppl there was sincere and helpful! The only complaint is that it is not located right in the middle of the main streets (though it is near enough, it is only 4 mins walking distcance). However, since the path walking back is very dark and quiet it is recommended better not to walk back alone.
