Owner description: Home to Angkor Wat, one of the largest religious complexes in the world, and a stunning array of 9th to 13th century temples built by the kings of the Khmer Empire. The Angkor Archaeological Park is breathtaking, and still the principal draw for every visitor to Siem Reap.

“Outdoor Cycling or Running”

This Archelogical Park is so big that you will need atleast 2 days with proper transportation to visit all the temple..Most of the people that I´ve seen visiting the Temple are riding bicycle..Especially the foreigners or student cause the landscape is beautiful....I had a unique exsperience running inside the park before the sunrise..And I guarantee that you will feel completely satisfied and at peace within you..

“Beautiful any day!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 6, 2013 via mobile

You could take a week or more to see everything. It's worthwhile taking time to walk around as much as possible. We had a guide for one morning but found that without a guide we could take our time, stop and smell the roses (so to speak), take photos at our leisure and just soak up the atmosphere! Just do your own research before you go and make sure you have a map of the area.
A car with driver isn't expensive if you are wanting to get further out. We did this and found it an excellent way of getting further afield.

“Not stroller friendly, excellent nonetheless”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 6, 2013

With a 2 and 4 year old in tow some of the temples were difficult to navigate but the visuals were stunning and there were elephants and some baboons to keep them excited. They had fun climbing around in and around the various temples.

“Angkor - spectacular, crowded”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 3, 2013

Huge and fantastic archaeological park. It attracts hordes of tourists and you will be propositioned at every turn by local villagers trying to sell you knick-knacks, books, water, etc. One of them offered to find my brother-in-law a girlfriend.

“Extensive Temples”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 3, 2013

The antiquity, although extensive and badly damaged, was well respected by visitors and guides alike. The stories behind their construction, use, demise and recent discovery lost in the jungle is absolutely captivating.
