We loved our stay at Angkor Pearl Hotel, it's nearby Pub Street, incredibly clean, beautiful bathrooms, charming hotel staff and has complimentary computers for us to use. It wasn't too busy or too quiet, just perfect really. What we loved most were the excellent rates, such a great value.

The best thing about the hotel was the service, everyone was super nice. We Really liked that it was outside of pub st, but very walkable. Breakfast was good if a bit disorganized. Our tuk tuk driver (Mr Smey) was very very sweet , gave us good advice and was with us for three days, always waking with a smile and water. I definitley recommend him.

Clean linens, solidly working ac, nice hot showers. I would stay agin.

A few suggestions for the hotel, minor things make all the difference.
- a bath mat and a hand towel in each room would b most appreciated
- the password on the wifi was a huge pain since it reset everytime and was so hard to remember (very minor point... Just saying)

Ankor Pearl Hotel, Siem Reap: 27,28/11/11, travelling as a couple. This is on a side-road off the main road so is quite quiet. The reception staff were friendly and interested in our itinerary. The best gin and tonics on our trip Bombay Sapphire (my fave) and double strength (yum). Its a short walk to the market and also to the Koulen Restaurant to catch the dance show with meal - a huge selection of buffet food and an excellent dance show can be had at the Koulen. Breakfast at the hotel (by menu) has limited options for vegetarians, but was tasty once the language barrier was breached :-). The air-con blew directly on our faces when in bed – we just turned the bedding top-to-toe. Special thanks to Theara, Chanthra, Soly & Mr Rong. Summary: Friendly, pleasant and well located.

How do I love Angkor Pearl Hotel?
Let me count the ways.

The wooden elements of the interior gave a relaxed and cozy atmosphere.
The rooms are spacious, clean, well-maintained, and reasonably-priced.
The room rate included free daily breakfast.
They gave us juice and hand towels the moment we arrived.
Linens and towels are changed everyday and the rooms are well-maintained.
The food in the restaurant were delicious and not overpriced.
The receptionists and the waiters always greeted and helped us with a smile.
The owner, Peter, found time to talk to us and ask what we needed.
The transfer from the bus station to the hotel was free.
The tuktuk driver assigned to us, John, was kind and very helpful.

This hotel is a gem. If you want personalized service in Siem Reap, this is where you should stay.

It was really a great experience staying at Angkor Peral in Siem Reap! We were totally surprised to be hosted so well, for a very low low price. First of all, we arrived at the airport of Siem Reap and we were picked up by a tuk tuk driver, who was holding a notice with our name. We were shocked!! The driver was very kind and he took us on a tuk tuk ride to the hotel. It was free for hotel guests, so we of course gave him a tip, which he appreciated. We were thrilled, it was our first experience on a tuk tuk!!! I recommend you travel with very small luggage, it will be more comfortable for you…

After 15 minutes on the tuk tuk, we arrived at the hotel, which was very well located, just 150 meters from the main road and 300 meters from the city centre. The lobby was all furnished in wood, it’s really very nice. They received us with a glass of orange juice, which really helped because it’s so hot! The hotel is very very clean, the room is spacious. We had two big beds, the air conditioning was working very well. The bathroom was very clean, the towels were fluffy and the sheets very clean and nice.

There was a small fridge in the room, which was very helpful to keep cool water! The only thing we didn’t like was the pair of sandals they give you to use for the bathroom…they were very dirty and seem old… of course we used our own Havaianas! 

The only thing which didn’t help us was the room didn’t include breakfast, but of course we couldn’t ask for more… with that low rate!

So in all, the hotel really surprised us! Very good value for money! The staff very friendly and helpful! Totally recommended!

Angkor Pearl was the first of many, many hotels we were staying at for our month long adventure through SE Asia.

Do not let the road that it is on steer you away! It may seem that it is off the beaten path but we learned quickly that it wasn't! It is a quick 2 minute walk/ 3$tuk-tuk ride to Pub Street (all the shops, restaurants, bars) but still quiet area at night. There's a market across the alley and a gas station a half a block down. The rooms were big (especially compared to many other places) and extremely clean! The beds were comfy too! The rooms had nice showers with consistent hot water, daily room service, 2 free bottles of water every day, mini fridges, awesome A/C for the hot weather. Our room came with complimentary breakfast, your choices are a little limited but we tried every option everyday and they were all delicious! Free wi-fi and two computers free to use in the bar area..speaking of bar area-great to find! Had a selection of booze which was great for us! The staff was the friendliest and most helpful people we ever met. They made sure we had a taxi on our way out for the best price we could find. Our room didn't have a great view but if you find any room in Siam Reap with a "great view," I would love to know where! The hotel also have their own contracted tuk-tuk drivers which is sooo helpful! If coming to Siam Reap for the first time, you will soon learn that getting an honest price/answer from tuk-tuks and other touts alike is slim to none...soooo having our own tuk-tuk driver (his name was Tuy) for the week that we were there was amazing! We had to pay a standard rate of $15/day and he is your driver literally alllll day and night. He is waiting there for you at sunrise and waits at every temple/restaurant/etc...until you are ready to go! They are all obviously well versed in the area as well so he gave us a ton of helpful hints and inside info on the temples. We met a few couples at the border who didn't have hotels and were looking for a "budget price." They came with us, got a room and couldn't believe what they were getting for that price. I cannot stress enough how great our stay was here and how highly we recommend it.

Please request Tuy (pronounced "T") as your tuk-tuk driver. He is the kindest, funniest, hard-working guy ever. We actually had a lot of fun with him the whole time too! He was super helpful shooing away the other tuk-tuk drivers who kept bugging us and he always seemed to find us right away in the crowds leaving the temples, super impressive! He recommended some stuff to do that we hadn't heard about or read in the books and they were great (and free!) :) You can definitely trust this guy!

I came here with my girlfriend on our first trip to Cambodia to visit Angkor Wat and celebrate our anniversary. Lo and behold, Angkor Pearl was the only hotel to write us back and they offered us a great package with complimentary pick up from the bus station. They've also offered to arrange our booking arrangements as we travel back to Vietnam via Ho Chi Min. This hotel is just like Siem Rep. Great place to be in with great value. We got the apsara suite which is (unlike a lot of other web-marketing hotels ) IS EXACTLY AS GOOD as advertised!

The staff and front desk are very helpful and even the drivers are great! Take Thean or Bon as tuktuk drivers and you'll travel comfortably. Practically, cheaffeur service - they bring the tuktuk around EVERY TIME we were just about to exit the gates of places we visited.

Mr. Theara and the rest of hotel staff are the best.. When we tried to go out for a midnight snack and there were no more tuktuks available on the road, they made sure we had a way to get around - providing me and my girlfriend an unforgettable experience in Cambodia! (Driving a scooter/motorbike around the city was incredible!).

These guys certainly care about their guest and they made us feel quite at home. So much so - that we're staying an extra day just because we loved the hotel. .

We also got a personal email prior to arrival and a personal letter from the owner and the managing director welcoming us as soon as we arrived.

I can't say enough. It's worth the long travel and the back-aching bus ride to Siem Reap. I'm staying here again when I come back! =)

Room Tip: Some tips though: This hotel has no elevator but its not a difficult to climb Be open & hones...
