This place is charming. The garden setting with seats and cushions under the trees and the tables in the garden are nice. I came here over 5 times (mainly for the yoga and juice) and was greeted to a calm space each time. I would walk or tuk tuk over the river from the Old Market and would be greeted by smiling faces and a quiet space. There are books (Angkor temples, travel, etc.), magazines, brochures that you can read or you can stop in the fair-trade store. I enjoyed the yoga (either am or pm, David or Prasad) and felt calm after each class. The vegetarian fare is fabulous - I had the stir fry of snap peas and shiitake mushrooms. Yum. I'm not sure what a previous review means by "unauthentic" and being reminded of the US since a lot of the places in Old Market are cafes and nightclubs and mainly tailored to tourists and ex-pats. There are a variety of fares: Indian, local Khmer, Mexican, Japanese, Western, Italian, etc. This place had a lot of charm!

Across the river from the old market, this place is great if you want a quiet, tasty dinner and to avoid the pub street crowd. The food was great and on par price-wise with most other restaurants ($3-4 mains, $1-2 drinks). It took a while to prepare the food, but they have comfy chairs in a garden setting, so not too much of an issue. And it was all fresh! Make sure to wear bug spray, as the mosquitoes were out in force. Also, make sure you bring a map with the location marked (it's not well sign posted and down a dark street. We missed it on the first walk by and the locals we asked for directions had never heard of it).

This unauthentic place reminded us of some of the people from our homeland (US). We have seen many places like this in our travels and dislike the imposed upon feel they bring to the countries they are set up in.

I had been here many times in 2011 and was lucky to return again twice in Feb 2014 with family, who equally enjoyed the menu (and we tried quite a few!). A cafe in a garden setting- it is nothing fancy, but nice to be among the prayer-flag between the trees, in a peaceful & relaxing outdoor setting where you can relax on comfy seats or up at a table. All vegetarian meals- everything so fresh and tasty. Friendly staff & remember to start meals as they appear, as will come out as they are cooked, so don't wait.
Peanut butter yum yum smoothies are addictive!
There are yoga classes, monk-chat sessions available here too and a shop that sells fair-trade goods.
