A superb tour with a sense of responsibility, supporting local people and helping to protect the local environment and wildlife. We had a lot of fun, and our guides were excellent, well-informed and enthusiastic. The tour is really well planned and despite the hype from so many great reviews, it surpassed our expectations.

I have never seen fish eagles before let alone be twenty yards away from one! What a great day we had.
It was a mix of bird watching and seeing how floating villages live and work. The boat trips were treks in their own right - going down incredibly narrow channels to reach the bird hides and floating villages. One tip - wear sun glasses as some of the channels are tree and bush lined and can flick twigs and branches on to your face. All part of the adventure we felt and all enjoyed it immensely. The locals in the floating village benefit from the tours which in turn helps them to survive without using rare bird eggs for food and commercial activities. Giving the village education about conservation and helping with local economics through "eco-tourism" seemed to be a win win scenario. Definitely worth a day if you have one spare or have had enough of temples!

We booked this tour in advance and knew we may end up paying $150 each if no-one else joined. Luckily on the day there were 6 of us and we ended up paying $80 each. However we had such a great day I would have happily paid full price. We aren't serious bird watchers but nevertheless we had a very interesting morning travelling around the ecosystem, its a pity the boat was quite noisy. After a lovely lunch we then transferred to individual canoes and were paddled around the floating villages to see how the people lived and how the fees for the tour are spent. I was worried this might be a bit touristy or intrusive but we had a great afternoon and it was very interesting to see how the people lived. A wonderful day in a wonderful place.

After three days of visiting the temples we wanted a change of scenery and Osmose provided that but also so much more. Our guide explained us a lot aobut the unique eco-system of the lake, we got to see how the local communities live on the lake and did some bird watching from a tree house platfrom - great views from up there. All in all, a great experience and I would highly recommend Osmose if you plan on visiting the lake

It was a good experience to take the river cruise on Tole Sap Lake to see the floating village, its school and life on the river. What we disliked was the pestering message service offered by the 2 boys on the boat.
