“I am trying to find the restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 15, 2011

I know the wat bo location which is now closed, and believe that it is now on road 6.
I could not find it in the dark. Does anyone have directions, close to what hotel etc?

I won't review it yet, because I have not tried it yet.

“I'm coming back just for this food...seriously!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 13, 2011

At the recommendation of my guesthouse owner - TEA LEAF SALAD!!!! It's the bomb. Oh and I'm a pretty big meat eater so that's a big call. I randomly picked other things and they were all great! So cheap with lovely attentive service and nice table settings.
They deserve to be packed out.
I had another tea leaf salad in rawai Phuket ... Good but not GREAT like here.

“Excellent food, great service, good price”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 11, 2011

Located on Wat Bo road, between street 23 and 24, Irrawaddi is a small Burmese restaurant that deserves your attention.
While simple the place is nice and spotless with a display of local paintings and artistic photos on the walls.
Non vegetarians and vegetarians will be equally happy with the large selection of generous dishes between $2 and $4.
Glass of water are provided without asking and slices of watermelon are offered at the end of the meal.
The service is excellent as well as the table settings.

“were great. The service was far beyond excellent”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 24, 2010

really impressed by this restaurant after having eaten at other popular spots.. Most of their curries that we tried( we were 5 people) were great. The service was far beyond excellent and the bill was shocking! We paid 15$ Unbelievable!

“Do not miss this restaurant!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 31, 2010

I can vouch with enthusiasm for the Irrawaddi's sister restaurant in Phnom Penh, which is owned by the same family as the one in Siem Reap. If you want truly authentic and excellent Myanmar/Burmese food, do not miss this restaurant (and art gallery) on a quiet street in the Boeung Keng Kang section of Phnom Penh. The food is as good as (or better than) any restaurant in Yangon, and the multi-lingual owner and staff will make you feel at home. If you are looking for a bit of Myanmar in Cambodia, do not overlook this place! (I have not visited the restaurant in Siem Reap, but as both restaurants are owned by sisters, I suggest trying both. In Phnom Penh, the Irrawaddi is my 'default' restaurant and tea shop, and a relaxed atmosphere..
