Little homework and background research was done prior to my selection of Angkor Miracle. I had only browsed through the official website and was wowed by the impressive pictures, not forgetting the fact that it is one of the newest hotels in Siem Reap.
My optimism was a little tested when the airport transfer arrived 10 min late. Fortunately, our patience paid off when a cheerful driver arrived with a relatively decent-looking Rav4.
The hotel was only 5 min drive from the airport and it looked massive indeed.
Stepping into the lobby, one would have thought it was set in Bali instead! The check-in was smooth and fuss-free.
However, the only complaint I had for the entire stay was the room assigned to us. We had opted for a queen bed but was only given 2 single. When we drew the curtains open, the scene was a plot of sand.
A call to the frontdesk transformed us to the next level with a queen bed as desired.
With a good rest, the next thing to look forward to would be the breakfast buffet. The spread was decent and enough to fill the stomach.
The surprise came in when we were given either a free spa for 2 or free lunch/dinner for 2! We opted for the spa that was timely after our exhausting Angkor Wat trip.
Another bonus is the Free Wifi available in the hotel. Who doesn't like free...Little homework and background research was done prior to my selection of Angkor Miracle. All in all, we were happy with our choice and Angkor Miracle is definitely worth the thumbs up! Though a little far off from the town centre, there is always the reliable and cheap tuktuk to depend on!More
