“Incredibly relaxing stay, charming accommodation”
Reviewed January 19, 2011

We have stayed 5 days at this hotel, and it was our favourite hotel throughout all our travels through Vietnam / Cambodia.

We loved this little place, about 20 relaxed rooms all overlooking a refreshing pool, set in lush tropical garden. So relaxing, almost a villa feel. Deserves the word ‘boutique’ in the name.

Yes, you do go down a short dirt track to get here off the main road, but then you enter the tropical oasis of the hotel.

The check in was quick, with friendly, helpful, English speaking staff.

We walked through lovely tropical gardens to get to our spacious, relaxed, low key room, which had a lovely outside table and chairs. The room was not flash, it was really relaxed and cosy. Shower was powerful and hot. Fridge, TV with good range of channels.

The staff were lovely, always smiling and saying hello, but without being intrusive. The gardens were always being groomed, and the rooms were cleaned everyday.

Breakfast was just lovely, a great selection of food, overlooking the gardens. We also had lunch and dinner at the restaurant and it was lovely food. Pool and gardens were pleasantly lit at night, again very relaxing.

Wi-fi was free and reliable.

It was about 5 minutes walk to the start of the town centre, 10 - 15 minutes to reach the end of the town. So mostly walked in, and got a Tuk Tuk back, which cost $1.

Yes the beginning of the walk takes you past a few local restaurants and homes, but surely you come to a country to see it? Always felt very safe.

Check out was efficient and simple.

We loved the town of Siem Reap, and this hotel, and wished we had stayed longer to enjoy the town and the hotel more, and fit in more massages!

A very relaxing stay.

We slept for 6 nights in this hotel and really liked it. The swimmingpool is great with kids and always sunbeds available. We had a room facing the pool which was very nice. The service was good and very friendly, and the food in the restaurant was good as well. We really liked the quiet location and it was nice to walk along the little back alley to the hotel. If you are not in the mood to walk, there are always tuktuks waiting in front of the hotel which will bring you for almost nothing to the center of town. We would certainly go there again if we go back to Siem Reap.

Arranged for the hotel to collect us from the airport. No problems here. We had two nice pool view rooms close together at the end of the complex. The rooms surround the pool in a U shape. Rooms comfy and quiet, tho water takes a good while to get hot. Good aircon, good cable (kids liked HBO and StarMovies at bedtime).Restaurant was more expensive than some in town but the food was excellent. Watermelon frosties highly recommended. Breakfast was good and plentiful. The massages we had were good but not great. The kids kept daily blogs so really liked the 3 free computers with internet in the lobby. Laundry was fast, cheap and good! Overall the hotel and the staff especially Mr Chan were excellent, warm and friendly. Could not fault the hotel. However I did book a van for 3 days (excellent driver) and on days 2 & 3 we had a replacement tour guide who essentially knew less than me and spent a lot of time chatting to the driver in Khmer or on her modile phone. That will be $25 per day plus $35-$40 for the van thanks!. On one day we used them for 2 hours only. Next time I'll not be so lazy and will maybe just get a driver or even a tuk tuk and buy a book and read it along the way. BTW tuktuk to town only A$1 for the 4 of us. Overall, a great little hotel - no real complaints here.

We had a six night stay at Central Boutique, and chose it on the strength of other reviews, and we weren't disappointed. It was great to be away from all the traffic noise and we mostly walked into town and the markets, which we thought weren't far and occasionnaly got tuk tuks for further distances.

We were picked up from the airport by a very cheerful driver, and as there wasn't a room ready when we arrived, even though it was only 8.00 am, they provided us with breakfast even though they weren't compelled to do so. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful.

The free internet came in handy to access emails. Though a few days into our stay there were a lot more families staying at the hotel and there were a number of children comandeering the computers to play games.

We made use of the free bikes available by the hotel and did two of the three days at the temples by bike, which was great exercise and an experience with the traffic in Siem Reap.

We stayed in room 203 and thought that it was great looking over the garden. Everything worked and the room was always impeccably cleaned, and unlike other hotels we have stayed in Cambodia since, they give you the daily compliment of soap, shampoo, toothbrush, comb etc. Breakfast was great and the staff at breakfast were very friendly and obliging.

This hotel is great value for money and would highly recommend if you are travelling to Siem Reap.

We were a little apprehensive when we drove into the parking lot as it's a lot of dust and didnt look like much. However beyond the trees was a stunning sparkling pool with rooms opening onto it. The staff were fantastic and so helpful and friendly, and spoke excellent English (esp compared to Thailand!). We stayed in Room 1 which opened onto the pool. The room was clean and we could tell the staff put a lot of effort and pride into keeping it this way. However the bathroom, bed and aircon need replacing. Water trickled out the shower head in the direction of the wall so it was very difficult to shower. The bed was rock hard and the aircon barely worked. Having said that we'd still stay in the hotel but not in Room 1 - maybe the other rooms were better?! There was a good selection at breakfast and again the staff were very helpful. We were lucky enough to get Tea the Tuk Tuk driver - he was fantastic and really made our trip around the temples special.

Very good value, great breakfast with fresh and very varied food, French pastries, pinapple pancakes, omelette made on the spot... If you have to wake up early for the sunrise! They will prepare a take out breakfast for you at any time (4:30 for me).Lovely rooms, clean, and warm atmosphere around the nice swimming pool! very nice staff always, smiley, concerned about the customers!
Great location away from the city center and the only noise you will hear is bird and geckos, will make you think that you are of town, but city center is just aorund the corner and reachable by walk and takes 2-5 minutes by tuk tuk.
Lovely rooms, clean and cosy and I miss the little terrace with banana and mango trees and chairs to relax thoughI didn't have to much time to relax there because of the tight schedue fo visits!
Mr Thy, the tuk tuk driver will take you anywhere you want to go or will show you the most interesting places His english is good and he is quite knowledgable about the places! Really enjoyed to stay there and miss the place!!!
