“Clean, Quiet, Good Value”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 22, 2012

There are a whole lot of places in Siem Reap to choose from. This one is fine as a mid priced, boutique hotel. It was clean, quiet, and friendly. Rooms are big, somewhat simple. However at the price it is a value. The pool is really nice. Breakfast is included in the rate. Personally I would pass and have a better breakfast somewhere else. There was nothing wrong with my breakfast, it is just boring and there are better places to go and have it. If they offer transport to and from the airport do not take a tuk tuk. It is much to hot and dusty. The hotel's owner lives on site, this is a real plus. He runs a tight ship. Do ask him about where to go and what to see. The hotel is more than OK to help make dinner bookings for you. I will be back.

Room Tip: Ask what is the quietest. I had 107, it was good. They have a nice pool

Beautiful gardens. Nice pool. Simple, but quite clean, spacious and comfortable enough rooms. Too simple bathroom. Cozy, relaxing atmosphere.
Breakfast is boring if you stay more than one (max 2 nights): omelet or pancake, toast, tea/coffee, small plate of fruits, juice (not fresh). The same for each and every morning.
Very uncomfortable pillows - we were borrowing pillows from the pool beads for the night.
Staff is attentive but not pushing.
Not in the shopping, dinning or entertainment area. But tuk-tuks are cheap and always available, if you are too lazy to walk.
Overall we were satisfied with the hotel. We even liked it, but I am not sure that I would like to come back.

We have ordered private sightseeing tours from the hotel in advance. Definitely cheap, but comfortable, with a nice driver and a nice guide. We have seen a lot of local life (go for really local markets, look at a life in local villages), the most important monuments of Angkor Wat, Kbal Spean, Phnom Kulen Waterfalls (recommend), Banteay Srey (I liked it a lot), Floating Village (must, but choose not to touristy), Beng Malea (just OK, it was too dray to get impression of the temple in the jungles).
We went on our own to the local souvenir markets. Best I have ever seen. Seems like all people in Cambodia are artisans. Artisans Center is OK to have excursion, but it is better to buy souvenirs and silk scarfs in the night markets, silk dress in the airport (perfect quality, good price), some interesting things could be found in the boutiques in the city center.

This place puts a lot of pieces together. Location, price, service. This was my second visit (will not be my last) and it reminded me of just how accomodating the staff of this property is. Breakfast is good. Rooms are good (air is cold, water is hot, bed is comfy, balcony is awesome). Pool is a welcome relief after temple stomping all day long. They can and will arrange all manner of things for you if requested. Massage, tuk tuk, airport transportation, tours, bus tickets. Just wonderful people.

Room Tip: We have had an upstairs room in the villas (one room down, one up). The top floor would not be recom...

Perfect place to stay. 10 minute walk from the old market or $1 by tuk-tuc. Clean and spacious rooms. A little oasis away from the downtown hustle. Stayed there two weeks back and can't recommend the place highly enough for the price you pay. Mr. Hak, the owner, is really helpful and arranges everything from free airport pickup to bus tickets south.

A clean, friendly and quiet place... "If" You have no neighbours above you, as we had the second night. With spacious rooms.
The breakfast is good but with two choises (continental/american) maybe a bit poor.
The drivers for car and tuktuk are great and skilled to show you around town. The rest of the staff is also very friendly and helpfull. Mr. Hak runs this place very well

Great hotel. Kudos to Mr. Hak, owner-manager, for being such an accommodating host, ever helpful to address whatever concerns you have. He arranged the 3 day tour package for us and it was great! The staff are courteous and friendly. The rooms are nice, very spacious, clean, comfortable, quiet - indeed a great place to retire after those hot tiring days visiting temples and ruins. The swimming pool is another plus after a sweltering day outside. Great location too - the old market, the famous Pub Street as well as the Night Markets are just a good 10-15 min walk from this hotel. I particularly like the walk back to the hotel after dinner in one of the numerous restaurants at Pub Street - a way to burn some calories after a hearty meal otherwise the ever ubiquitous tuk tuk is always there to give you a ride back.

Mr Hak speaks great english and will help with all your needs. The resort is peaceful, quiet and the rooms are beautiful. The pool is great and the pool side menu is fantastic. The resort is within walking distance to centre of town and all Tuk Tuk drivers knew it for the late night ride return back.

Room Tip: Ive stayed multiple times in different rooms and they are all good.
