A bottle of fine chardonnay was $ 25, not bad if you come from Canada. We started with delicious salads and we had both an entree. total bill $ 43. romantic with all the orchids between the tables and what someone else said; a nice break from the hustle at pub-street and still central and easy to get at.

Some people have a gift. Everything they touch is somehow magical.
With flowers and plants, hanging orchids, subtle garlands of lights and Indochinese antiques, they created the most romantic exotic restaurant's decorating. The all place is thus divided in different cosy areas, all slightly open to each other and to the street life. Charming.
You eat with your eyes and this was already a delight.
The best is yet to come. The menu offers a mouthwatering range of traditional khmer and revisited asian/westerner recipes. With all the best ingredients and spices of Cambodian cuisine and the typical european condiments such as mustard.
We had our first morning glory salad here, followed by giants prawns with orange mustard dressing for me and a steak with roquefort sauce for my husband. Good and affordable wines too.
Words are not enough to honour the infusion of flavours we experienced there.
Do I have to say that we loved that place?
The staff is as charming as the rest.
No only did we came here for diner but twice for breakfast. The ham of the bone is one of the best we ever ate.
We are thus amazed that Le Malraux is not higher in Tripadvisor ranking.
Do not hesitate. Indulge yourself with a slice of old colonial glamour topped with french/khmer gastronomy.

Thank Aralya

A nice break from the hectic pace of Siem Reap. Great quality food, cocktails and wine, lots of variety and atmosphere with most diners around us speaking French. Right in the heart of town yet feels miles away.

Lovely building, wonderful menu, great service and great to have an opportunity to eat something other than Asian cuisine for a change.

Thoroughly recommended.

The restaurant occupies a prominent position in a central location, I have passed it many times over the last eight years and assumed that because it is so large it can't be very good, completely wrong!
The space is aesthetically separated by hanging orchid plants, the menu is just the right size and with a list of interesting specials, service was swift and attentive and a lady in a pink top who I assumed was the manageress was working her socks off.
My friend ordered roast sea bass, I had salmon in banana leaf, both were beautifully cooked and delicious. Between us we ate three scoops of tasty ice cream and drank a small bottle of water, glass of Chardonnay and an Anchor beer, totalling $43.40. Not cheap but very worthwhile. By the time we left it was packed and they were turning people away.
