I spent 3 nights there. It's so close to Pub street nice market. No smoking smell :). Very nice small swimming pool ( but I didn't swim :P). The reception was very nice to me, I hope I could come back there someday.

We spent a week at the Encore Angkor, while exploring temples and enjoying the slightly mad nightlife of Siem Reap. It was the kind of peaceful sanctuary that made it possible to relax and recharge for each day's adventure.

Before entering reception you must leave your shoes at the shoe rack outside the door in the bar/restaurant area. Like many traditional Asian houses and temples, this causes you to relax a bit more than you normally might. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rates reasonable.

Our room was clean and comfortable and breakfast was great! It is everything you need for an Angkor Wat adventure.

My favorite thing about the room was the view of the crocodile farm next-door. It was a reminder that we weren't in Kansas anymore....or New Zealand for that matter. The crocodile pool is just over the wall from the hotel's pool (which, by the way, is clean, cool and very pleasant). While swimming, you can sometimes hear the mating calls of the crocs. It gets so hot in Siem Reap that you'll want to use the pool, even if you normally don't. Don't be put off by the crocs. You don't see them from the pool and hearing them just adds to the exotic mystery of this very unique land.

Crocs aside (I know, I 'm a little too fascinated by them) entire vibe of the hotel is clean, peaceful and professional, not to mention trustworthy, which is a very valuable quality indeed! When I go back for more explorations, the Encore Angkor will be my home-base.

Room Tip: If you want crocodile view, you'll need to ask for it. Not every room has it.

We spent 4 nights at this guest house while touring the temples of Angkor Wat and Siem Reap.

Pros
Free airport transport was pre-arranged via tuk tuk.
The lobby is welcoming and beautiful.
The reception was warm and welcoming no rudeness at all.
Everything is clean and tidy.
No shoes policy.
Close to Pub Street and Night Market
Close to many restaurants and shops

Cons
Hard bed
Towels did not smell freshest and weren't the softest.
In room safe was not very big. Will fit an Ipad but not 2. Couldn't fit my travel buddy's professional camera.
They require guests turn in the key when they leave the premises and will not allow you to bring any guests into the hotel room or on the property. Our friends were going to be there for less than 30 minutes and just wanted to see the pool were told to wait outside in the dining area.

Nonetheless since we were out most of the days doing stuff this was the perfect place for us to stay.

Close to pub street, night market and central area yet quiet. Great location. Super pool - must have a swim. Don't be put off by the choc "farm" next door, there is no noise and we didn't see any feeding sessions or anything nasty while there. The hotel is clean, although well used. Bathroom was small but all you needed was there. Having just come in from Vietnam, we noticed a difference in standards and stars between Vietnam and Cambodia. As Cambodian standards go, it was good & worth it given location. Breakfast was basic but adequate & fresh. Reception staff were great - helped us in planning onward bus trips etc. Late check out was arranged no problem. Actually all staff were all friendly and nice. Get used to taking off your shoes outside and walking bare foot - welcome to Cambodia!

Visiting in late February / early March 2013, it lived up to my friends' recommendation. Less than 5 mins walk from main road & Pub Street with all the restaurants, shops & markets, it was a very welcome peaceful location with 'no shoes indoors' policy, clean, welcoming and helpful family run hotel. Good room size, hot shower & bath with toiletries, tea/ coffee facilities and freshly cooked breakfast for early & late risers. Tuk Tuks outside can take you to temples etc. Mr Reth was my excellent Tuk Tuk driver. It had a compact outdoor pool to cool off after the temple visits. Pool towels provided. Helpful with wifi or use of foyer free PCs, plus offered arrangements for onward journey & accommodation in Phnom Penh for me. Safe to wander around at night to visit eateries & night markets. Local convenience store by main road.

Room Tip: High up floors are best. Due to location, room views are not a feature. View from my twin was orange...

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely clean Hotel in Siam Reap. The staff are friendly and helpful and will help to arrange tours and transfers. The decor in the lobby is appealing and the rooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast is cooked to order and there is plenty of it. The Hotel is located central to the town and can be easily reached by foot. If we came back we would definitely stay here again; an excellent hotel.

Ive stayed in a lot of places over my 15 years traveling and i can honestly say, that this is by FAR one of the best places i have stayed.
The building itself is stunning, old architecture, polished wood etc and is very clean and well maintained. The staff are amazing, the location is amazing, pool is awesome and refreshing, breakfast was not too shabby either. Anyone that's had South East Asian "western breakfasts" would know that its certainly not their forte, but this is one of the better SEA breakfasts you will get.
The location of this place rocks, its 2 minutes from Pub St and all the action which makes it easy to head out and have a few and not stress about trying to get home safely.
I stayed here with 2 mates for a week and could not have been more happy. Siem Reap is an awesome town with amazing history and plenty to do. Make it even more enjoyable knowing that you are going to stay in one of the most awesome places, you will not be disappointed.
