“not much crowd”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 29, 2013

maybe i went there at the wrong time of the year. only a few tourists were there. most vendors were pushy probably due to low sales. prices do tend to get low once you move and they shout the lowest price possible. wasn't able to buy anything.

“Best place for souvenirs and food. BARGAIN!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 18, 2013

Though, some of the vendors might be realy pushy, they'll never leave you until you buy once you've shown interest to their product. The good thing here is they'll cut down the original price up to 70% off. So the best strategy is - ask the price, ask for a discount and leave showing no interest. Also, don't buy by bulk in one stall, there are lots of them. You'll be surprised how much mroe discount other stalls can give you. There are lots of massage place and restaurants too. Great place to spend you night with your partner or friends. :)

“Cheap souvenirs, but horribly aggressive salespeople”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 13, 2013

The only good thing I can say about the night market is that the souvenirs were pretty cheap, especially if you haggled and/or bought more than one thing.

That said, almost everyone sells the same stuff, and the salespeople are ridiculously and terrifyingly insistent that you buy something. You can't even glance at something without the vendor instantly appearing next to you saying, "You buy? I give you good price. You buy, yes? You buy from me." They are terrifyingly and inhumanly fast and they won't take 'no' for an answer. I found shopping here to be a very stressful and unpleasant experience.

And did I mention that everyone sells the same things? This isn't an exaggeration. You can barely tell where you are and where you've been because everything is so monotonous and repetitive. We tolerated this market to get our obligatory souvenirs, but we got out as quickly as possible.

“Souvenir Paradise”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 6, 2013

The merchants are a bit aggressive, but it can be fun negotiating once you find something you want to buy. I was able to buy a silk shirt for $6.00. It was raining when I was there and it was kind of nice that it wasn't so crowded. I wish I brought more than a carry on because you can really fill up on items in this market.
