down to us), the temple of sanctified in Rajendresvara 953 Friday, January 28,

“Temple of the Elephants”
Reviewed July 1, 2013

The elephant statues were impressive but, unless you are on your way from Banteay Srei or Pre Rup, I wouldn't go out of my way to visit this temple.

“Elephant Statues”
Reviewed June 1, 2013

This temple is one of the smaller ones and is renowned for its Elephant statues. They are quite impressive although the rest of the temple is just OK.

“Large elephant stone structures”
Reviewed May 19, 2013

Elephants were used for heavy lifting of rocks during the construction of the temple. It is fitting that large stone sculptures of an elephant is on each corner of this temple. Only one of the elephants still has a tail. The rest have lost theirs. See photos attached.

“Five towers temple”
Reviewed May 19, 2013

A huge baray surrounded this temple complex during its prime. Because it was surrounded by water and was like an island, there was no need for enclosures and moats that became customary for temples in Angkor. East Mebon has five towers, and climbing the central platform to the towers and checking out the intricate stonework.
