Pavillon d'Orient Boutique-Hotel

Certificate of Excellence

It is always dangerous to return to a place you have enjoyed, in case you are disappointed the second time. However, there is no fear of that at this wonderful hotel. Even though it was two years since our last visit, all the staff remembered us and made us feel like old friends. Every morning you are greeted with happy smiles and friendly faces. Breakfast is a real pleasure, eaten in the beautiful open air restaurant, with plenty of choice and delicious home made food. The rooms are delightful and have large verandahs with views over the fabulous swimming pool-I don't like swimming but even I was tempted into the water by the exotic surroundings. Our tuk tuk driver (Zoran?) was delightful-his english was excellent and he was very helpful and friendly, going out of his way to show us the less touristy side of Siem Reap. This has to be the best hotel in town!

Because the hotel itself earns 4 in my opinion.
The service is outstanding, staff is very nice and helpful with everything. The rooms are big and well equipped, but it needs a bit of renewing of wall painting and tiles....its a bit used, but still ok.
It has a nice pool, nice breakfast and also a SPA that we tried and it was superb.
Though, the hotel is in the middle of the real life, with a workshop next door and some construction going on on the other side but in the night its okay.
Complementary is a Tuc Tuc driver who is at your service during your stay. We had the pleasure to be driven by Mr Navin. He is a very knowledgeable Cambodian and it is a pleasure to listen to him and his explanations of the history of Cambodia and the Angkor times.
So, the hotel is really a top place to go in Siem Reap.

My husband and I stayed here during our Cambodia/Thailand honeymoon and we still to this day say it was the best hotel we have stayed at. It may not be the most luxurious hotel, but the grounds are beautiful, rooms are beautifully decorated, clean and spacious. The hotel staff is amazing and the breakfast was delicious, super fresh, and the best we have had at any hotel.

We hired an English-speaking guide to the temples and it was the best decision. We had our own tuk-tuk driver and he was the nicest and most humble person.

Don't think about it, book this place!!!!!

This is a lovely, relaxing, hotel, with very friendly and helpful staff. The level of comfort and attention to detail is excellent for a mid range, reasonably priced, hotel. The fact that you are allocated your own tuk tuk driver (who was really helpful) is a bonus and takes the hassle out of seeing the sights (including 5am sunrise at Angkor Wat) and evening trips into the town.

Value for money and great service!......Quiet retreat not too far away from the city centre. Free tuktuks and top up a bit for a car upgrade. Loved the small details like the free Cambodian bedtime story, the very refreshing lemongrass tea.

The rooms at this property are rather tired, but saved from mediocrity by some deft reminders of colonial days, and the balconies which provide much needed extra space.
However the staff here are warm, friendly and treat you as one of the family - absolutely brilliant!
The tuk-tuk driver provided is a clever touch that minimalises the impediment of the distance from Siem Riep.
Breakfast by the fish pond is a big plus, and can be eaten at any time of day, another smart move. All in all, a memorable visit

This is great value for money considering the service and little touches they provide

Nice laid back atmosphere, supremely helpful staff and free tuk-tuks between 5am to 10pm make this a really nice place to stay.
