We enjoyed our time at Jodanga, even with the chilly weather. Although we weren't able to use the pool in the cold weather, there was lots to do. They have a pool table, a TV room, a kitchen where you can prepare your own food, and a bar/restaurant. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were also very clean and very nicely kept.
Our only concern was the noise level at night. There was loud music from reception until around 11:00PM. If you need to sleep early, make sure to bring ear plugs.
Other than that, it was a great place to stay. It was close to the main plaza (about 25 min walk) and is located right beside the Parque Urbano, a cute park in Santa Cruz. It is a little difficult to find, so make sure your taxi driver knows where to go.

This place is very nice and very clean. We loved to stay there for a night and the service was very god. The pool is great. The room (private!) was big, clean and we had hot shower. Jodanga is one of my favorite hostal in Bolivia.

The same day that we arrived at Jodanga, I had to go to the hospital. The best manager Gustavo helped me a lot at the hospital, staying there with me and making me laugh of my serious poop-problem. Thank you sooo much!! Jodanga is a very nice and hip backpacker hostel, where everyone has a lot of fun!

This place is exactly as in pictures.
For a backpacker hostel it is very very clean. The pool is great, big enough to swim in and nice in the Santa Cruz heat. The hostel has nearly as many rules as it has sunburnt backpackers but that is perhaps why it works. We had a private room by the pool, there is a potential for noise but it depends who is there. The place is not a party hostel however, so drunken youths declaring their undying love for new friends at the top of their voices in the early hours was not a feature.

The air con is weak and only from 11pm to 7am and it's about a half hour walk to the town centre.

The kitchen is clean and has all you need to cook a good meal. Supermarket about 15 min walk away. Communal areas clean and comfortable. wifi good for Bolivia.

Breakfast is max two eggs, max 5 pieces of fruit, max 5 slices of toast. Fruit juice, tea/coffee.

Keep to the rules and enjoy!

We rocked up at 6:30am with no reservation or them having any knowledge of us coming after a 10hr bus ride from the Bolivia/Brasil border. They were super friendly and offered us a few options and we even had breakfast for a mere 25bol. Super comfy room, clean, spacious and in a great location. It is a bit of a party place which is different to all the hostels we stayed in previously but it was great to have people from all over the world chilling by the pool with a drink & loads of stories. As far as Bolivian prices go, its a little pricey but its totally worth spoiling yourself!
