This place is beautiful and close to the airport without all the airport noise. They even have shuttle to and from. The staff is awesome. The bed was amazingly comfortable. Rooms were quite and luxurious in their own right. The bummer is that it is about a 10-15 minute taxi ride to town. If you are between flights, needing to stay overnight and want to hang out in a beautiful place with a fantastic pool and good then this is great place to stay. Will for sure stay again.

My first and overall impression of this hotel was the attitude of ALL the staff to please - even when arriving at 4 in the morning. We stayed 2 nights and enjoyed all our meals which were reasonably priced - there were some gaps in service however 'A' for effort as the server tried to resolve missing my order. Another meal was enjoyed under the stars by the pool, as the waitress and I tried to banter in Spanish and was helpful in wine selection- recommending a Bolivian Reserva which was terrific! We coached the bar in putting together a martini for us - she took great pleasure in ensuring it met our approval. There is literally is nothing to do here - laps walking around the pool perhaps - LOL -but this is what we wanted during our stay over and it was perfect! The room was large and clean, the bed very comfortable, the A/C excellent and balcony terrific! The hotel operates in a manner commonly seen in many Latin American countries. The amenities are in place but may not be to standards Western travelers are used to. Despite this, a stay at this hotel whether for a overnight or a short reprieve you will not regret.

This is a great hotel if you are staying over between flights. The beds are super comfortable, everything is very clean. However, the information available states "restaurants and bars". There is only one bar, in the lobby, and one restaurant on the lower level, a lobby-style restaurant that opens to the pool. The pool is well kept and large enough to swim laps. The area around the pool has nice lounge chairs, although if you sit too long you get sore as they are wooden, no cushions, and a few tables, where you may order food and have the staff set a table up for you. We were happy with the hotel but felt it was a mix of 3, 4 and 5 stars. Why? Because it was a very small hotel with few amenities. There was a little shop that was never open, their wine list was not up to date, so much that we just went to the bottles and picked one that was left. Our second day(we stayed 2 nights) there were no bottles of white wine to purchase, although you could get a glass, I presume it was from a much larger bottle or box. There is a gym with great exercise equipment, but no television, so take your mp3 player. A steam and a dry sauna which you needed to have the staff turn on. At least they were there and you can use them if you wish. Nice balconies off each room. Mini bar only had 2 beers, a few packages of crackers and sodas. The restaurant had good food. Not fabulous, but for the size of the place the food was good. I had a club sandwich and yuca frita for lunch and then for dinner I had the surubi fish that was very good. My husband's steak(bife de chorizo) left a lot to be desired. So all in all, it is so close to the airport that it is worth it for a layover. Otherwise, for a vacation, it is good if you want to read and swim and have a quiet time.If you plan to go there for a vacation, there is really not much to do...no walking paths, right along a busy main route. It is about 30 to 45 minutes into town depending on traffic, so if you do not have a car, it will be expensive to get there and back. Yes, and the staff were very pleasant.

I stayed here for only one night, as I was in transit from Cochabamba to Miami. This hotel is right across from the airport, and has a shuttle that transports guests to and fro the airport - this is the key advantage. Otherwise, this is quite remote from the city of Santa Cruz (at least 20k away)

The hotel was extremely spacious, clean, and well equipped. The pool was very grand; even though I did not take advantage of the pool, the music coming from the pool (varying from classical to Kenny G) could be heard from our hotel room that overlooks the pool. The restaurant staff was very pleasant and the food was good.

The sleep was comfortable, although the a/c was a bit strong and loud. Overall, pleasant and recommended stay for people in transit with early flights the next morning.

Due to the collapse of the airline I was flying with from El Alto, I got bumped at the unpleasant airport at Santa Cruz. I booked a hotel, hoping that it might be reasonable for one night. I arrived at the Sun Hotel and what a delight. A really nice hotel. Super air conditioning, reasonable food in the restaurant and only a 5 minute drive to the airport. This is a very good hotel, not too expensive and I would recommend it.

Room Tip: I had a room to the left of reception.
