We were in one of the suite rooms at La Cupula (got an upgrade from the friendly owner as we showed up late without reservation and it was not occupied) and it was absolutely amazing! Great views, great bathroom, massive bed, clean and large room. Best bit was the open fire, it was prefect! Great staff, nice restaurant too. For Bolivia it is quite expensive but we loved it. It was quite close to town - a short walk up a steep hill. Highly recommended.

Fantastic place to stay - lively comfortable double bed and hot water bottles provided! The reception staff were very helpful and knowledgeable and went above and beyond to help me arrange the next part of my trip. Lovely views . Central location . The restaurant was amazing - try the trout - would definitely recommend

I cannot recommend this hotel enough. I had a single room with en suite bathroom. It was such a comfortable room and had nice views. The staff were exceptionally accommodating and helpful. We had a large group of 6 that wanted to have dinner at the hotel's restaurant on a Saturday night, however the restaurant was full. The staff said we could still have dinner in my friend's room (which happened to be the honey moon suite that was up a large set of stairs). The waiter was very gracious as he practically had to trek up the stairs ten times to serve us our food.
BTW the restaurant is also very exceptional.
All up a great accommodation experience and highly recommend to travellers going to Copacabana!

One of the best places we've stayed in South America. Beautiful hotel, great location, spacious rooms and cosy bed. Breakfast was also sooo delicious and the service was outstanding. Great experience in copacabana!

We arrived with my parents, who are in their late 70s, quite late at night. The dark walk up the dirt road was a bit disconcerting, especially after we had been shaken down by our taxi driver (it didn't work). Without reservations, we were able to get the last two rooms, one with a full kitchen and both with sofas and stellar views. These two were at the top of the property, and we definitely appreciated getting there, given the high altitude. We originally planned to stay for only one night, but ended up staying for three, and then we ended up returning a month later. This place was the accommodation highlight in 2 months of traveling throughout Peru and Bolivia. The restaurant was fantastic, (I had the breakfast sandwich every morning - ask for it with cheese!) with a mix of international food at very fair prices.

We just wanted to move in and stay forever.

Room Tip: If you want more room, ask for the upper rooms at the back of the property, on the hillside. One ev...

This has to be one of the best hostels we've stayed at, ever. We arrived without a reservation but were lucky to get the last room available and we ended up staying a 2nd night due to the road blockages outside La Paz which stopped us getting back. It is very well run and clean. Carlos on reception helped us arrange transport back to La Paz and was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. But it's obvious that a lot of the praise should go to the owner Martin for running a professional, well-run ship.

Wonderful hostel with beautiful views, a fantastic restaurant and a very professional staff. We recommend suite 11 as it has it's own porch overlooking the lake and a private bathroom. We had an incredible experience here and recommend it highly!!
