Hotel Utama

We stayed 1 night on arriving in copacabana. The room was fine, but the Double bed sagged badly in the middle, my partner ended up sleeping in the other single bed in the room so we could get some rest. Electric hot shower which worked ok, breakfast was generous but bread was stale (usual bolivian bread).
As per other reviews hotel has strange policies about wifi, they changed the password in the afternoon and then turn it off at 9pm. on our return from isla de sol we stayed in the la cupula hostel, great views, nicer rooms and hammocks to hang out in and lots of hot water! (no electric shower head)

The staff are amazing and so helpful. They collected us from the bus and dropped us off again! Free fruit, tea, popcorn and sweets in the lobby. The beds are comfy and have loads of blankets. There are heaters you can borrow if the room is cold. Wifi worked until about 9.30pm and was pretty good. Lovely hot water for showers with shower gel provided. Soap, towels including hand towels which never happens in South America. As for the breakfast - it is amazing!! Really really good! All in all a great hotel. Slightly more expensive than others but worth it! We paid USD 25 a night.

The rooms at Hotel Utama are fine. Comfortable, warm beds with clean sheets; reasonable bathroom with provided soap dispenser and generally decent hot water. There is plenty of free food and tea available in the general area downstairs including bananas and coca tea.
Staff are very helpful, speak quite good English and can assist with booking tours etc. The hotel is located up a steep hill so ensure you take it slow given the altitude (3800m). It's just far enough away from the main drag so as to not be noisy but not so far that you have walk any great distance.
The real highlight of the hotel is the breakfast. Pancakes, cereal and yoghurt, eggs, fresh bread and juice, coffee; ensure you give yourself plenty of time to savor it.
Highly recommended.

Good hotel all things considered. Didn't make it to breakfast so can't comment on that. My only issue was they claim there is heating but there are only two heaters (gas powered) in the place. There are about 30 rooms. We got one of the heaters one night but the gas ran out after an hour.

The website told us it was 3 km from the busterminal so we could arrange a pickup. We thought we could take a cab. Here comes the joke: its is 300 meters from the center! You can walk easily. Easy money for the cabdriver. Good rooms, good beds. Unfortunately a cold shower! And limited wifi between 6 and 9:30. (???) breakfasy very good! Staff is a bit strange but friendly.

This hotel had features as advertised - free transfer from bus to hotel, nice bed and some nice amenities. The breakfast service was great too. The best thing about it though was how compassionate the staff were. My friend was ill while staying there and the hotel staff gave me a thermos of hot water, some mate (tea) and bread to take up to her. They also asked after her and made sure that everything was OK and we didn´t need a doctor. I´m very grateful for how well they treated us at Hotel Utama.

Good hotel for a reasonable price in a good location just a short walk from the main street. Shower was electric, pillows were strange - 1 big long unfomfortable pillow for 2 people on a double bed... The biggest let down for me was the Internet - very slow, often didn't work and was turned off at 9pm every day & te password reset! Very annoying!!
Other than that everyone was very friendly, breakfast was awesome, and the added freebies like water, lollies, coca te and fruit were an appreciated bonus.
