Las Islas is a bunch of food stalls that start selling food in the late afternoon. You order your food and take it out to tables to eat. There was everything from hamburgers to traditional Bolivian food. Our host mom wanted us to wait a few weeks before visiting so that we could "let our stomachs adjust to Bolivia" but I think that we could have gone sooner; everything seemed clean and cooked thoroughly. I had some of the most delicious food in Bolivia here.
I highly recommend Macondo! There was also a stall that sold taco/burrito cones.
