It was a very nice time there, the staff was nice and helpful.
The hotel has a nice small garden with plants and a few places where you could seat. The location is also good and quiet, a good restaurant nearby and also a supermarket.
The staff was cleaning the room everyday and they have a laundry service also.
The internet signal was not that good but I guess that is normal in Bolivia.
I would recommend the hotel.

I stayed here for three nights with a group trip. Each of the rooms are set up as a condo with two rooms, one with a queen bed the other with two or three twin beds, a small bathroom, living and dinning space and kitchenette. There is no elevator, but the stairs work great. This is something to keep in mind for those folks who live at sea level since CBBA is at 8000+ feet above sea level. The staff was nothing but kind and the owner/manager was very attentive. They were conscious of dietary limitations (to an impressive level). Over all I would recommend this hotel for it's location, GREAT value and the fact that it seems like the type of business that I would like to support while traveling.

Room Tip: Keep in mind you will need to climb stairs. This may be more difficult if you are acclimating to the...

The hotel is conveniently located in a quite residential / commercial area. The infrastructure is old, ample rooms, poorl lighting, no elevators. Price is just right...When I was there the hotel building a new wing, hopefully it will be modern and offer better rooms.

We spent a fantastic SEVEN weeks at this trully amazing hotel. The staff were fantastic and so attentive to our needs, the rooms were very clean, the gardens were also very neat and tidy. Our cleaning maid and ev4eryone working at the hotel very very polite and helpfull. We could not speak much Spanish but with the help of the staff by the time our holiday was drawing to an end we could speak enough to get us through the sun soaked days. My family and myself were very sad to leave our home from home but we will be back again in the not so distant future. This hotel in Chocabamba is a must for anyone wanting a great holiday. We rented an apartment to have heating and were told we could switch to a normal room without a problem if we wanted to. When we got there, it was really hot, so we asked for a normal room, but there were no more available. The aprartment was not particularly clean and smelled of old cigarette smoke (rugs on the floors). It was as though we rented an apartment from someone on welfare in the 1970's... When it was time to pay, they were charging us 15$ US a night extra for the heating (not advertised anywhere on their website) and also charging us for breakfast!!! It seems that breakfast is included only for the normal hotel rooms, not the ''apartments''. However, the so-called apartments only had a little camping stove, no cutlery, no plates, no pans... How are we supposed to cook food without any of that??? Really, it was an ordinary stay, but ended up a nightmare in the end. We told them to get the act straight and made recommandations, but the owner never replied... Oh well... His loss. If you go there, make sure everything is clear regarding prices, because I wasn't the only one who had problems when I stayed there.

We had a wonderful stay at Apart-Hotel Anteus in January 2010. There were four of us, so we decided to spend a little extra money for a two floor, two bedroom apartment (with an additional twin mattress rolled into the living room) instead of getting two double hotel rooms. The apartment was spacious, extremely clean, always had hot water and the service was phenomenal. This was refreshing since our first night in Cochabamba we stayed at hotel/hostel that is popular with backpackers, but was absolutely disgusting…erratic hot water and the sheets looked like they got changed once a month (Hostal Colonial). Apart-Hotel Anteus was a welcomed upgrade. The cost of the apartment for each of the four of us was $18 USD a night, about $10 more per person compared to our original hotel, but it was $10 extra a night very well spent (breakfast was included).
It is not located in the exact center of town, but a very manageable 10 or 15 minute walk. However, many of the popular restaurants, clubs and bars are within a few minute walk of the hotel, so we thought the location was great. Plus a cab to the exact center of town only costs $1 or so. We originally laughed at the Lonely Planet when it said that Cochabamba has a very Mediterranean feel, but after staying in this part of town, we realized there was some truth to it (especially after visiting La Paz).
As a side note, across the street is a great restaurant (La Villa) and its owner prides himself as having the cleanest kitchen in Cochabamba. The 3-course lunch special was delicious and it only cost 15 Bs (~$2 USD). We went a couple of times and were very impressed with the food and the ambience of outside patio where the tables are located.
We had an amazing week’s stay at the Apart-Hotel Anteus and highly recommend it for travelers who want to spring for an extra $10 a night to stay at place that is up to western standards.
