Eden has a nice assortment of pastries, most of which are tasty. I love their Napoleon with dulce de leche. Unfortunately, they can't pour a decent cup of coffee to save their lives. Stay away from their so-called cappuccino. Nonetheless, it's worth a visit for their pastries.

The tea salons are very confortable, full of light, they offer very fine pattiserie, traditional as well as international. Also to ask for home.

We visited this place in Cochabamba for dinner. Unfortunately, they don't have a lot of options but the small and sweet foods are great.

Fine pastry, decent coffee - cozy atmosphere. This is the old Cafe Eden; they now have a subsidiary in the Avda America area. Same stuff but the ambient is a bit colder. This definitely the place to go.

Everytime I visit Cochabamba, I make it a point to come to Eden as often as possible. Their selection of traditional bakery goods--from cakes to cookies to donuts--along with the availability of traditional dishes, such as saltenas, and items that you might find at a diner, such as hamburgers and pizza, make Eden the "go to" place for both locals and tourists alike. There appears to be a huge following of loyal customers--always a good sign for tourists (like me) interested in eating what the locals eat.

I highly recommend the saltenas, the chorizito, the palmeritas, and the humintas (the best that I've had, hands down). The espresso ("Expresso Grande") pairs fantastically with these dishes.

Note: They've recently opened two other locations. I've been to the 2nd location, which basically has many of the same menu options, but in a smaller setting, as well as the third location, which is basically an "express" version of Eden, with the exception that this third location has burgers that are made on a barbeque grill. These burgers are the closest thing to a "gourmet" burger that you might find in a boutique burger joint in the US--they are epic!
