“Beautiful hotel, tremendous staff”
Reviewed August 21, 2012

We had two nights at the Aranjuez and wouldn't hesitate in staying there again. There is a lot to recommend the hotel - lovely big rooms and bathrooms, good breakfasts, excellent staff and, in Jose, one of the most helpful and friendly managers imaginable. We stayed in a large room that was spotlessly clean and had windows onto the garden, and our whole stay was peaceful and relaxing

There are two standout things about the hotel: the beautiful mature gardens that surround the hotel, hosting an abundance of bird life (starting the day with breakfast in the gardens, watching hummingbirds go about their business was a true pleasure); and the really excellent staff, who could not have been better.

The hotel is located on a quite street in an upmarket area of the city, about a 10 minute taxi ride into the centre. One of the big draws of the area is the wealth of excellent restaurants, cafes and bars in the area. We had some of the best food we've had in Bolivia in this area of Cochabamba.

The Hotel Aranjuez was the perfect choice for our visit to Cochabamba. The neighborhood was safe, quiet and ideally suited for our needs. The public areas of the hotel are beautifully appointed and comfortable. The hotel is also in the process of renovating the guest rooms. Our suite had recently been redone and was very clean, comfortable and spacious. We were especially fortunate to have a room with a private terrace, which we highly recommend if you’re staying any length of time. The garden areas are open to all the guests and are well maintained. There’s even an outdoor pool.

As nice as the facility is, it’s the people who truly make the place special. From the manager, Jose, all the way down through his staff, we were made to feel like part of an extended family.

We highly recommend the Hotel Aranjuez for anyone visiting Cochabamba.

This hotel is elegant, comfortable, well appointed, and safe. Located In a quiet area toward the northern area of the city, across the street from the tin baron Portales Mansion. The staff of the hotel could not have been more accommodating, helpful, and attentive. Due to an emergency medical issue, we were required to spend an extra week in Cochabamba before traveling home. The staff and the Hotel manager, José, truly went out of their way to assist us in every aspect possible. I could not have asked for better.

I stayed in this hotel for 10 nights while working with Habitat for Humanity. It was a veritable oasis in the desert for me: staff are very helpful and friendly...someone was always available to speak English, fortunately. it is on a quiet street in a wealthier neighbourhood, which is nice, but Friday and Saturday nights the major street a block away was very busy with very loud cars and partiers: I think the younger locals were really letting it rip by parading their vehicles and selves along that street for hours and hours, on into the wee hours. So, I recommend you get a room not facing that direction (it overlooks the pool); if possible, get a room overlooking the garden, NOT in the direction of the pool. The only other problems were that service in the dining room was very very slow at mealtime, so we had to order well ahead, and sometimes the dogs in the neighbourhood and a cat who loves to roam the hotel garden, really were loud at night...just awful; and, the pool is not heated, which was an issue in June (winter time). BUT the room itself was very nice and large. Also, we all had a shower at the same time (end of day), and the water was always hot. hallways and meeting rooms, as well as grounds, are kept in a lovely state. Although the hotel is not old, it has an established, gracious air about it. Really really quiet and nice and relaxing. Buffet breakfast very nice...lots of choice. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone I know.

The hotel looked attractive when we booked it, but it did not do it justice! The style and decor of the hotel is outstanding, you do feel that you have arrived in a very pleasant and quiet place to stay. Outside the hotel there is a swimming pool and terraces with an abundance of flowers.
The manager, Jose, is very welcoming and sociable. He arranged for us to go on an existing tour with Canadian guests who were building houses for underpriviledged and poor families in the near vicinity on a 3 month stay.
There is plenty to see in the area, and in the centre of Cochabamba you must not miss the central market!

This is a hotel run by a family. The owner, Mrs. Nancy Jordan, is always there during business hours, attending to the tiniest details of this hotel she personally directed its construction and decor more than twenty five years ago. One of her sons is now the general manager of the hotel, his name, Jose Andres Jordan, everybody calls him Joe. He is always greeting the visitors if not personally at the airport, at the reception desk. If the bell boys are not available, he will take your suitcases to your room. You will find out he is the manager when he will smile and tell you "Wecome", I don't take tips, you can tip the bellboy". Before leaving you in your room he will assure you that the hotel employees will make your stay unforgettable. Reservations should be done ahead of time, it is a small residential and most of the time it is all full. Several presidents have stayed in the Presidential Suite, to name some, President Chaves of Venezuela and several Presidents of Bolivia. After your first stay, you will go back again and again to Hotel Aranjuez, Cochabamba.

Room Tip: Once you get there, they will accommodate you to your satisfaction. The view to the swimming and ga...

The hotel is in the northern part of The city, The most safe and beautiful. We arrived looking for a new accomodation after an awful night in an another place booked by the agency. We arrived al the amising frontdoor by taxi and both of me and my wife were finally smiling.
The staff at the frontdesk was nice and helpfull and after fede question joined us the manager who was so kind to take us to see the many amenities of the hotel. Gardens and fountains and a sunny terrace and a swimmingpool where to stay in peace, far from the noise of the traffic. The room given to us was clean, large, non luxurius, but very confortable with a door window to access to the garden where is the swimmingpool. The whole staff was always nice and at our disposal and the restaurant -where we had the most of our meals- presents a various and tasty menu. The place really does make the difference this time
