Terrific food in a fantastic environment. A great place to spend an afternoon or evening. Super friendly service and a fun lighthearted décor makes for a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

The food was good but the service was very slow. There was one waitress taking care of several areas of the second floor and that could have been the problem.

The Common Man family of restaurants are just great. Wife and I are trying to visit all NH sites. If you are in need of good comfort food with real friendly service; these are the places to visit.

We wanted to try this restaurant because we have enjoyed another Common Man restaurant we have visited. It was awfu but service and foodwise. We arrived at about 3:30 on a Sunday for a very late lunch. The dining room was closed but the pub upstairs was serving. We sat down and waited. Our waitress finally came over and took our order from the limited pub menu. We waited and waited and waited and the place was maybe half full. When our food finally arrived my husband's nachos were passable but my sandwich and my son's were lukewarm and the fries were ice cold. The waitress finally returned food to us and my veggie burger was dried out, flattened and burned on the edges, Did the waitress seem to care at all? No....

Food is exceptional and the atmosphere is great, especially the upstairs bar area. We ate here two days in a row on a recent visit to the area, and we had no complaints about anything. The Portsmouth Pie was excellent and the Osso Buco special one night was also superb. You can't go wrong, and not only that, the prices are reasonable.
