We enjoyed the array of historical information and displays. Mid to older kids would really like it here if they enjoy airplanes and space as well.

“Warbird Heaven”
Reviewed November 10, 2012

I love all things airplane. Sorry, I just can't help it.

This must be why I really liked the Strategic Air & Space Museum. It's a solid 30 minute drive from the Old Market district of Omaha, but man, was it ever worth the trip.

The hardware is all WWII or later, so if you're looking for something earlier, this isn't your museum. They do have a B-52, B-25, B-26, B-58 (where else can you find a Hustler!), a B1, and even a B-36 (which are pretty rare).

We had a great time - there is a big display on the Dolittle Raiders which is worth the trip itself, plus the four missiles out front.

The fee is $12 per adult. Note: Eat before you get here. The cafeteria food makes McDonalds look like a 5 star restaurant. The drinks were okay - Pepsi products, if you like that.

I haven't been here in a LONG time. But I loved going there! I was young when I went there, but I still remember a lot of it. I would love to go there again!

“A great Place To Visit”
Reviewed October 18, 2012

We've been a member for several years and are big fans of the museum. The planes are very interesting and the temporary exhibits are generally good. The occassionally have special programs for the kids that are a lot of fun as well. The volumteer led tours on the weekends are good as well. We've been through several and many of the tour leaders had flown similar aircraft and spoke of their combat experiences flying those planes. The SR-71 display is very well done
