We had the privilege of staying at Mountain Sky Lodge at the end of our week's vacation in Yellowstone. We felt pampered and well taken care of in this beautiful lodge - the rooms and beds are so comfortable, the food was delicious and the host and hostess (Marlene and Bill) are wonderful conversationalists and so gracious. We had planned to leave early the day we left but couldn't - we wanted to stay longer and enjoy the company and the surroundings. We look forward to going back there again and visiting this magnificent place - and our friends, Marlene and Bill! Such a peaceful setting. We absolutely loved it.

Room Tip: All rooms are cozy and comfortable!

It's unanimous! All 9 of our family members described their stay at Montana Sky Lodge as thee most relaxing, memorable and peaceful get away retreat!! Flying in from all over the United States (Orlando, Chicago, New York City, Atlanta and Coeur d'Alene), we all agreed it was well worth the travel!!

The spacious lodge, nestled high atop the mountain on Tippy Toe Trail was beautiful, clean, bright and cozy. Loved the big windows bringing in the the natural light and beauty of the outdoors. It was the perfect setting for our family to relax and enjoy one another in between local activities:. "Epic" is how my nephews described their day fly fishing and golfing on one of the top 50 courses in the United States!! My husband enjoyed his massage at the Fairmont Hot Springs, while we ladies preferred antique shopping and site seeing in nearby Butte.

Owners, Bill and Marlene offered up their hospitality (with an Italian flair) and were gracious hosts. We felt as though we were treated like family friends in their home. It was so convenient to have Marlene prepare our meals for us at the lodge. We were able to come back from the days activities and share intimate dinners and gourmet breakfasts all together at one big table! The coffee was brewing early every morning and the perfectly timed, family style meals were always delicious and plentiful!

It is obvious that Bill and Marlene have invested themselves in Montana Sky Lodge and truly enjoy doing what they do! The result is a lodge with warmth and personality and a great place to kick back and relax.

Best kept secret... This summer I had the opportunity to spend time in Montana at the Sky Mountain Lodge. The lodge itself if amazing with luxurious rooms that exceeded expectations. The time was highlighted by the extraordinary food prepared by Marlene. Better than you could get in any restaurant! AMAZING! It was a party in my mouth. Wish I could have extended my stay and taken more advantage of the area. I will definitely be back!

Room Tip: It is off the beaten path -- don't miss out... take time to check it out!

Looking for a get-a-way or a small retreat/conference center? This is a luxurious but homespun place of recent vintage. The owners have poured themselves into creating a small bit of Tuscany in the upper altitudes outside Anaconda. If you are seeking hiking, fly-fishing or photography they are all nearby, but this is designed as a restorative place, a place for reflection that could be found in the mountains of Italy. Log cabin lodge with high tech, off-the-grid green power. Great beds with marble tile baths.

This was our second stay at Montana Sky Lodge and both have been absolutely fantastic! We highly recommend taking advantage of Marlene's great cooking by having dinner in the evenings. You'd pay several times the cost at a fine restaurant--and not be as happy. We can't wait to go again. This is a perfect combo with golf at Old Works in Anaconda.

Room Tip: The downstairs is great for a family who needs two rooms.

We were looking for a place to just get away and relax for our 20th wedding anniversary when we stumbled accross Montana Sky Lodge on the internet and decided to give it a try. Best anniversary decision we've ever made! The setting is beautiful and serene, the lodge is immaculate and Marlene is an outstanding hostess...great cook, too! I think we just started a tradition!

A group of us from Seattle spent three days at the Montana Sky Lodge in September. It was a delightful stay. Marlene and Bill have designed an absolutely marvelous place in a stunning location. Every detail has been thoughtfully included. So many places to sit, read, walk, rest and contemplate the beauty of the Big Sky country. The view of the stars from the claw foot bathtub was something I'll never forget and, along with the fresh, fresh air, led to glorious sleeping in the cozy king bed. The Holayters are sensitive hosts, doing everything to make your stay what you wish, providing ideas for activities nearby as you like. Food is scrumptious--and yes, ask Marlene to cook dinner for you! Great conversations, lots of laughs, good friends. We are already talking about going back in the springtime.
