Owner description: Like a Phoenix rising from the ashes, the Old Works has been reborn on the site of Anaconda's historic century old copper smelter. The first course ever built on a Federal EPA Superfund site, Nicklaus incorporated many historic relics in his design. With its affordability, course conditioning and friendly service, Old Works is quickly building a reputation as one of the premiere, daily fee golf experiences in the Northwest region.

Nice course in a very interesting setting. A good use of the Superfund money. Mr. Nichlaus always gives you a driver with big greens and this is no exception. Very picturesque front nine and nice back nine. I found the greens quite easy to read but my playing companions had troubles as there is a general flow to the 'stack'

Being from Montana I've played this course before and it is truly a gem. Troon has done an amazing job managing this course. All aspects of this facility are great!!! The course has 3 practice holes you can play plus a fantastic practice facility. A must play if you're in the area!!!

A signature Jack Nicklaus course built on a Superfund site. The bunkers are filled with black slag from the old copper ss a smelter. The course from the black tees play a monsterous 7705 yards with all 4 par fives nearing 600 yrds or more. There are 5 sets of tees. This course is fantastic and for the price, one of the best deals in the country. This course is not really on the beatenpath, but if you have a chance to play it. DO!! Great staff, good restaurant, and a challenging, affordable golf course, make for a fantastic day of golf.

We golfed 18 holes last week and had an awesome time! The clubhouse, driving range, course and restaurant are first class. The staff were very friendly and willing to help. The carts, which they recommend because of the size of the course, are new, clean and extremely quiet. The driving range was awesome with all the balls you could hit included. The course itself is very well maintained and was very challenging. The course had more than enough "real" bathroons and not porta-potties :-). The black slag sand traps, yes, I was in the the sand, were amazing! I would gladly pay the green fees again and return!

The Old Works Golf Course is amazing. If you have been setting around all winter waiting to golf, you might want to put this course on the back burner until you have whipped yourself into shape.
