“Horseback Riding Heaven”
Reviewed March 28, 2011

I've visited the ranch 3 times now and had a fabulous time each and every time. Their horseback riding program is top notch with excellent horses, equipment, and the best guides you will meet. You will cover beautiful country and learn about the area and wildlife in the process and your safety and enjoyment is always the number one priority.

When back at the ranch, the rooms are very clean, comfortable and homey with plenty of good home cooked food and good conversation at every meal. Take a walk before dinner and look for the wildflowers in the spring. Your hosts will make you feel like family the first day you arrive and you are sure to want to visit again once you've made your first visit.

My husband and I were there at the time UCO was celebrating the ranchs' 100th birthday. We got to meet alot of family from around the U.S. and join in on all of the festivities. We were treated like family the entire time. Jake and Donna are people who truly work hard and truly play hard to meet all of your expectations. Food was AWESOME the entire time we were there. The rooms are very clean and the staff is willing to help out with any request you may have and you feel welcome to make any request. Our vacation was so very relaxing and enjoying. We have recommended this experience to all of our friends and family.

We took a family hunting vacation to UCO in November. Family included myslf, my wife, both of our sons and daughter-in-laws and two grandchildren. (ages 3 and 1) We stayed in two of the cabins and had all our meals in the lodge. Someone came every day to take care of trash and ask if we needed new linens. The weather was cold, negative 10 or lower, and we were always comfortable. Our stay was great.

By far the best elk hunting experience of my life. Great people. Great facilities. An honest hunt with experienced and sensible professional guides. I am still eating elk meat from a nice 5X5 and enjoying the afterglow. I shall return!

Donna is well organized and so is her camp and lodge. Jake allowed us to use his tools to repair ATV. They're accomodations were clean and nice. The staff was very freindly and helpful. The home style food is always good too.

My family has been visiting Upper Canyon Ranch for nearly 20 years. Our most recent visit was for our daughters wedding at the ranch. The entire process of arrangements to execution were greatly assisted by the ranch 's excellent staff. There are no finer folks in the world than the UCO staff. If you wish to visit a place where everyone is made to feel like family, Upper canyon Ranch is the place for you.
