“Golden Wedding and a Birthday”
Reviewed July 16, 2013

Everything that Ronzareli has written we agree with wholeheartedly - we are the friends who were with them. We also had a beautiful vase of roses in our room on the Saturday plus a cup each filled with chocolates on our bedside. Thank you Mr & Mrs Furian and all your wonderful staff. We most definitely hope to be back next year.

A fabulous week at The Furian. Nothing too much trouble, spotlessly clean and lovely food.
We hadn't stayed in a smaller hotel before but thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It is in a quiet position, we were on the 3rd floor and could view the lake from our balcony. The beds were very comfortable, no air conditioning but slept fine with balcony doors open. The bathroom was small but spotless with plenty of hot water and clean towels.

We stayed for 7 nights from 19th-25th June, and went with friends to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary, and it was the most wonderful and memorable holiday. The hotel was perfect. We stayed in the two top floor suites which were spacious, spotlessly clean, and just lovely. As others have said, nothing was too much trouble for the family and their staff, and it was so refreshing to stay in a hotel where people really cared about their guests. The food was very good, with a really good selection at breakfast, and gorgeous cake for afternoon tea! When we came down to breakfast on the morning that our friends were celebrating their anniversary, we were amazed and delighted to see that Mrs Furian had decorated our table with flowers, chocolates, cake and a bottle of fizz. It made it feel very special. It was also our friend's birthday on the Saturday and once again we came down to dinner to a decorated table - really wonderful. We were lucky enough to have mostly good weather so were able to eat our meals on the terrace, which was great. The lakeside area was also very good, with comfortable sun beds, tables and chairs and a bar where you could get some food as well as drinks. If it was unmanned at any time you could help yourself to a drink and just write it in the book with your name and room number. What trusting people, where do you come across that these days. St. Wolfgang was also a wonderful place in itself. Beautiful scenery, spotlessly clean streets and friendly people who appeared not to have any stresses at all! I would recommend it to anyone, and certainly hope to go back.

Stayed here for 7 nights 12-19 may. We just could not fault the place. Clean, staff excellent, rooms superb, lovely lakeside beach area and food was delicious. An absolute delight from start to finish. Exactly what it says on the tin "Superb friendly and clean small family run hotel". must add what a gorgeous part of Austria too.

Stayed 7 nights half board through travel agent. Very clean room and quiet. No trouble when asked for early breakfasts due to early starts, full breakfast choice provided. Mr Furian and his staff very caring and always smiling and friendly. Will certainly visit again if holidaying in Austria.

I have just returned from a week's holiday at the Hotel Furian in St. Wolfgang - this was my second visit as I was there in March this year and I enjoyed it so much that I decided to make a return visit. For a single traveller like I am the hotel is just perfect, small, family run where each guest is treated very well and for me it just like going to stay with some very good friends in a wonderful part of Austria. The meals are superb with a good selection and if there is something on the menu that is not to one's liking this is not a problem . The atmosphere in the hotel is very welcoming and all the staff are so polite and helpful. The rooms are very comfortable and it is lovely to have a room with a balcony with a view of the lake. All the amenities of the village of St. Wolfgang are within easy reach and the boat station and the station for the Schafberg railway are very close to the hotel. All in all I so enjoyed my week at the Hotel Furian and hope to make a return visit before too long. A stay in winter or summer are both equally enjoyable.

Room Tip: Rooms with balconies facing the lake are the best as it is lovely to wake up in the morning and have...

Just returned from a family holiday to St.Wolgang staying at the Hotel Furian. What a treat it's been despite the awful weather. The hotel is a small (19 rooms) family run hotel, where you're a person and not just a room number! The hotel is in a lovely peaceful area, near the schafberg railway, just 5 minutes walk from the village centre.

Between us we had a front Lake View room on the first floor and a top floor family suite. Both of the rooms were spotless and well fitted out, the beds were very comfortable, with clean towels daily. The suite was great for us all to meet in before and after dinner as this has a separate sitting and dining area along with a small kitchenette area (sufficient for drinks and snacks).

As others have noted Mr & Mrs Furian are ever present and really care that you are enjoying your stay and are always available for a chat and advice on places to visit etc. The restuarant staff are equally attentive whether this be a special food request or getting to know very quickly what everyone likes to drink !

The breakfast buffet was plentiful with a good choice of fruit, cereals, breads, rolls, pastries, meats, cheese, bacon, eggs, yoghurts etc. etc. There is no excuse for going hungry at this hotel. Each morning you are presented with the menu for that eveing from which to make your selections, whilst the choice isn't vast we have a fussy eater in our group and they always managed to make a selection without any problem - and the menu is different everyday.

It really was great to be treated as an individual and not just as the occupants of room 3210!

I would recommend this hotel to anyone considering going to St.Wolfgang and I'm sure we will be back again before too long.

Room Tip: Push the boat out and go for a full suite on the top floor !
