“Great views”
Reviewed November 8, 2012

This trip up the Schafberg by cog railway is well worth the price. It takes about 40 minutes to climb up to the top and once there you have a 360 degree view of St. Wolfgang See and the surrounding area. Breathtaking!!

“Excelent”
Reviewed October 24, 2012

This tour is a must. The lakes view is wonderful and the train ride is fun. For the tour to be successful it is important: bring warm clothes, check the weather forecast to be a sunny day, marking a return when you arrive at the top (1 hour is sufficient). Another tip is to stay on the left side of the train, where the best views are on the rise

“Good trip”
Reviewed October 6, 2012

It is the best way to enjoy the great view of Schafberg at ease. Rail have one stop in between and we opted to get down and walk upwards. Climb is steep but comfortable walk. If you are not physically fit and working out lately, the climb will be challenging but it is the best way to enjoy the view. Make sure you wear comfortable cloths and do not carry too much luggage.

“Shafberg bahn”
Reviewed October 6, 2012

If the weather is good--it was the day we did this-the steam cog railroad to the top of Sharfberg is an awesome and fun experience. Views of seven lakes ( that's what they say...I could only find six)and mountains all around.
