“Secrets of Spam”
Reviewed April 16, 2013

This museum manages to balance the serious history of Spam and a tongue in cheek approach. There are numerous interactive sights and a very complete history of the development of this product. Plus it is entirely free.

Ok, you know you've tried it. The oddity that is known as SPAM. But you need to see this. Fun interactive museum for the whole famiy. They even keep diferent forms of spam available only at the museum. Must try at least once.

“Wonderful place”
Reviewed April 1, 2013

Very nice place to learn about the history of spam luncheon meat. Parking is free and admission is free and there is a whole wall of cans of spam above the door. Very well located. And very well built. A must see for families.

“You'll like SPAM aLot!”
Reviewed March 25, 2013

My husband and I visited the Spam Museum for the first time this past weekend. There was no admission charge and there were hosts at both the parking lot and door to welcome us, which was very nice. The tour is self-guided, so you can take as long as you'd like. We could only stay about 45 minutes due to another commitment that day, but there is so much to see that we would have stayed longer. There are a lot of interactive stations and theaters, full of Spam fun. They have a very nice large gift shop full of great gifts and memorabilia. I will definitely visit again.

“Basically a marketing ploy for Spam”
Reviewed March 9, 2013

I am not a fan of the food. The museum is kind of boring. Nothing really special about it. Just a few exhibits and a couple of screens. I felt like the museum is an excuse for Hormel to try to promote Spam and sell me. Then of course, there is the gift shop at the end of the tour. Anyway, they are nice people there and visiting was a good way to burn a few hours on a rainy Saturday in March. I wouldn't go out of my way to visit here again. It is just not very exciting.
