This was such a fun place to share with my Grand Niece and Mom! We had the tea special and it was lovely in an amazing setting. Highly recommend it if you are looking for a fun way to spend several hours together! The childrens tea service was perfect and my Grand Niece loved every bite! Even bought one of the tea pot warmers - what a great idea. Now to come back for the Brunch!

Went here for brunch today. After driving by for several years, it was a very pleasant surprise. The restaurant is old house right on the river. Beautiful and elegant.
The food was very good and service excellent.
Will definitely be back.

Went for brunch; menu had good variety at reasonable ($12-20) prices. The tea room was inviting, pretty décor as in days of old. My Crab Cake Tweedle Puff was delicious; it was herbed crab cake, poached egg, sautéed greens & house–made hollandaise sauce inside pâte á choux pastry puff, and a side of their brunch potatoes. The poached egg was PERFECT and truly poached--rare to find nowadays when most places simply fry them. The location on the Rum River is beautiful, and it was nice just walking around the grounds to enjoy the scenery. We will return for High Tea, as well as brunch. We are fans!

The atmosphere, the service and the food were all amazing! I highly recommend going here. I met a friend with her 4 year old and there was something for all of us! The waitress was very sweet and very efficient which was great. Love the old “Weaver” estate as we had always called it. Now it’s restored to this beautiful restaurant which is so cool with all the history. We then went upstairs to the store which had a wide variety of gifts and very unique things to purchase. I can’t say enough good things about The Mad Hatter. It’s just a fun experience that everyone should try!

The pumpkin French Toast was really good. The crab cake Eggs Benedict had good crab cakes and a good lemony hollandaise sauce. The breakfast potatoes had along with bell and sweet bell peppers some sweet potatoes that added a little something extra. Enjoyed the house blend tea and went upstairs to the tea shop to bring some home.
