“Don't let the exterior fool you”

If you someone who appreciates the arts such as the theater, you might want to add this place to your list of cool places to go on a weekend. Intimate feel about the place with a nice little wine bar. Which is nice when you're not really in the mood for a Pepsi. The play that I viewed was the"Laramie project", This is something anyone who has or knows some one who has been a victim of bullying or for that matter a hate crime. the cast really shows their abilities in this endeavor since it requires each cast member to portray several characters in the play. Try wrapping you mind around that task sometime. Plus this is a drama, not a light comedy or musical. If you want to get a feel for what this place puts into a performance, see what they do when it comes to a sensitive issue. I'd come back here again to see what else they can do. To the cast and crew of this current play, thanks for a great performance. And to anyone who may have heard of "the Laramie project" be warned. You might start feeling a number of emotions, like compassion, anger, guilt. Which sometimes ain't a bad thing either. Most times I'm talking a about a great place for a date night of a road trip. I thought it was time to touch on something more than a few of us have experienced. All the same in a nutshell, small on space, big on talent.

“Great community theater”

I saw the preview for Hairspray. This is the second play that I have seen at Lyric Arts, and I was surprised at how good the cast was. This show should be successful.

“Great Little Theater”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

This theater is darling and has some great plays, there is a lot of local talent. Sometimes they have plays that are just for kids which are so much fun. The adult Musicals and plays are also great.

“Home town theater”
Reviewed April 15, 2013

Great entertainment, and at a good price. Right on Main Street in Anoka. Not a bad seat in the house, as the place is small. Nice wine bar in the lobby. I liked that the performers came out into the lobby in costume after the performance. This would be a good place to bring children, feels homey.

What a "Gem". Local teatre in Anoka. Affordable fun for the whole family. Book tickets early as the facility is small and tickets go fast. Give back to the community and support the local arts.
