The place was very crowded, we were unable to find a handicapped parking spot and the "security" at the front was of no help, they just stood their yapping to each other....really, security at a winery?
The tasting bar was also very packed, we had trouble finding a spot to enjoy our tastings. Once we "bellied-up" our gal was very fun and helpful, however others kept butting into our conversations. It's nice to stay with the same person - they know what you like and don't like. The others didm;t seem to care.
As we enjoyed our chosen glass of wine outside we were invited to go one a horse pulled wagon ride through the vineyards. It was fun.

Hello,
Thank you for your review. Labor Day weekend (when you visited the winery) was indeed very busy at Carlos Creek. Our handicapped parking spaces are quickly claimed on such Holiday weekends. I am dismayed that you found our security staff was not helpful. Even on busy weekends, all staff is instructed to provide exemplary customer service and this will be addressed. Your surprise at seeing security staff at a winery is understandable, but the explanation is that our security staff is hired for the weddings we host on-site each weekend. We require security for any event that includes a dance of over 100 people.

I am glad you found your server fun and helpful and that you found a wine that you enjoyed. I am glad that you enjoyed the free vineyard tour aboard our horse drawn wagon. We will offer these tours again during our Applefest on October 19th. I hope you make a return trip to our winery and that we leave you with a better impression of Carlos Creek Winery. You have my assurances that providing customers with a positive experience is always our highest concern.

We are glad you agree that Carlos Creek is a GREAT spot for a wedding. We host them often in the Summer. There is something magical about sitting on our wine patio, listening to live music, enjoying a bottle of your favorite Carlos Creek wines and then have a newly married bride and groom stroll by. We feel honored to be a part of such an important day.

A friend and I went to Carlos Creek Winery on a Sat in July. It was busy! We enjoyed sampling wines and walking the grounds. A wedding was taking place there that day and they had live music as they often do. We took in the brief tour that involved one building and a look into the wine cave. No outdoor tour of the vineyards. It was informative and interesting. Be prepared for lots of people, staff indicated that it is always busy and full on weekends. Great way to spend a couple of hours!

Thank you so much for your feedback on our tours. YES, we are busy on Saturdays in the summer, but we're always glad to see and serve everyone. We often get asked about vineyard tours and so we are opening up a new self-guided vineyard tour for the summer of 2014. I hope you can stop by next year and check it out.

A very nice setting in West Central Minnesota. Clean, well maintained facility with a relaxing atmosphere. Indoor and outdoor seating. Facilities for weddings and other large gatherings. Wine tasting, live entertainment (times, type vary), limited light meals (sandwiches, pizza, etc.) three days a week. The owners are on site and will provide a tour of the production facility and are very knowledgeable about the business. A good gift shop with souvenirs and MANY varieties of wine available for purchase. Sample the wines (for a fee) and keep the glass. A place we have visited several times . It is a go-to destination with our out-of-town guests.

I'm really glad you enjoyed your visit to our winery. I will definitely let our staff know that you found our facility well maintained. They work hard to keep up our large property and they will be thrilled to hear your kind praise.

Had a great time at the fall grape stomp. Very fun to watch, hope to do some actual "stomping" in the future!
