We had previously visited the Legoland in Chicago so when we saw there was one close by during our visit to Michigan, we knew we had to check it out. This location was a bit smaller than the one in Chicago, however, it’s 4D movies were all working. That was a big plus!

We visited with three kiddos- 16, 12, and 8. They all had fun. The two younger kiddos enjoyed collecting their stamps at each station.

We learned how to build a jet in the master builders workshop. We rode each of the rides twice. And saw all the movies. We loved the LEGO Detroit land. And all the LEGO building stations.

We spent three hours here and the kiddos all agreed it was worth it. That’s all the matters to me :)

The staff here is amazing the kids had a blast. The rides are so much fun for the littlie ones. Then making cars and racing them leads to a lot of laughs. The 4d movie was probably my favorite part as it snows inside.

Great facility that will provide a few hours of entertainment for the kids. We love the Kingdom Quest ride where you shoot lasers at targets to save the Princess. Merlin's Apprentice ride requires parents to cycle while taking a quick flight through the air. 4D cinema offers short films, play center allows kids to unleash some energy, cafe with snacks for all ages and Miniland beautifully depicted areas throughout downtown Detroit during our late-Dec. visit.

Both my kids (ages 10 and 7) love Legos and both enjoyed their time at Legoland Discovery Center. We've also been to Legoland in Florida, so we were sure to preface before our trip that this Legoland would be much smaller :) They still had tons of fun riding the two rides, checking out the mini land and playing in the race car section. We did watch the 4D movie which was cute, but my kids did not like the water effects.

I would say that 10 or 11 is probably the age limit for enjoying this Legoland. We only spent 3 hours there and that was plenty.

Similar in size to the one in Chicago. Fun indoor activity, my favorite part was the workshop with a Master Builder.
