Price is well under what they could charge!! Super clean premises in and out. Great location, literally a stones throw east of 23. Very polite staff. Great hot breakfast included. It snowed a few inches on my last day there and an employee went out and cleaned off all of the hotel guests cars! I would highly recommend this hotel and if I'm in the area again I will stay again without a second thought! Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your awesome stay! We are pleased to hear you enjoyed the hotel and always happy to hear about our polite staff. Our staff works hard on snow days to make sure guest cars are clear of snow and we always appreciate guest feedback. We hope you come back to the area soon.

Sincerely,
Aaron Taylor

The hotel is immaculate, easy to get to and very quiet. A lot larger than it looks from the street, the rooms fan out towards the rear of the building which means no road noise and not hearing your neighbors in the hallway. The rooms are attractively furnished- coffee/tea maker, fridge and microwave- with plenty of hangers and granite/tile bathrooms. Beds were incredibly comfortable and black out curtains made the room really sleep-friendly!
Staff was polite and attentive from the moment I made the online reservation, thru phone calls and check in. Breakfast was great, hot and fresh! A Red Lobster right across the street made dinner quite easy, too.
I did wish that the hot tub was open later than 10 (especially during the winter when weather makes for late arrivals). Also,we discovered that the flat screen TV in our room wasn't working- no volume no matter what we did with the set or the remote- and nothing was offered to compensate for that when I reported the problem. which I found odd considering the attention to customer service that had been the norm here.
My daughter and I stayed here when she had an audition at the University of Michigan- the school is just about 10 minutes away!

Room Tip: If you need a quiet location, just ask when you make the reservation, but I can't see that any room in this hotel would be noisy or busy.

We used the hotel's conference center last weekend for our son's wedding reception for 120 guests and everything was absolutely perfect. The conference center was recently completely remodeled and looked beautiful with all the decorations for the special occasion. The AV equipment worked well and we loved being able to watch a slide show and wedding video on the large screens during the dinner.

It would be an understatement to say that Rachel Van Liew, the sales manager we worked closely with, went well above and beyond the call of duty. She took care of so many details and was very professional and accommodating. Many of our out-of-town relatives and friends stayed right there at the hotel for the weekend and really enjoyed the indoor heated pool and whirlpool, especially in the middle of a Michigan winter! We also liked the upstairs billiards lounge where everyone hung out together in the same room after the reception and played pool, shuffleboard, foosball and board games. Everyone said their rooms were very nicely appointed and very clean. All the staff members were very courteous, attentive, and professional.

The wedding guests also appreciated the location of the hotel, since it was so easy to find and right off the freeway. There was plenty of free parking, which is definitely not the case in downtown Ann Arbor. The staff even went around the parking lot before our reception and put down salt to make sure there were no icy patches!

All in all, we were very pleased with the hotel staff and facilities. They were definitely a class act, and we would give them our highest recommendation!

Thank you for allowing us to host your son's wedding reception in our new banquet center and your over-night guest room accommodations! We are so pleased to hear this wonderful feedback regarding both the hotel and our staff. Rachael is a wonderful asset to our hotel and she always goes above and beyond to exceed guest expectations! Thank you for taking the time to write such a nice review. I know Rachael enjoyed working the event and we are glad you enjoyed the weekend just as much!

This hotel is spotless, and every item is perfectly in its place. Staff is friendly, courteous, and welcoming. They actually ask you what your preferences are, instead of acting as if whatever they offer is all there is! Breakfast is several notches above the common--REAL eggs, not those hard, pasteurized pebbles you get elsewhere. Real sausages, too. And very accommodating attendants.

Thank you for taking the time to write such a wonderful review. The front desk staff is very knowledgeable of the area and hotel and they put the guest’s needs and preferences above all others. It was a joy to read that you liked our breakfast. We have rotating hot items daily and get our fresh pastries every morning from a local shop called Dom Bakeries. Our hotels cleaning standards are incredibly high and the housekeeping staff won’t settle for anything sub-par, so thank you for noticing their hard work. We look forward to your next visit to the Regent Hotel!

Best Regards,
Rachael Van Liew

I stayed for one night with my wife and daughter and what a great experience! The pool, jacuzzi, breakfast, room and hospitality - all was terrific! It was so great my 17 year old daughter felt compelled to complete the in room survey expressing how very satisfied she was - WOW! The last time I felt this great about a hotel, I stayed at the Four Seasons. Great Job Regent!!

Room Tip: You can request a room with a view of the Pool if you have kids.
