“Currently, one of the best in Ann Arbor”

This small place just of Main St. offers a tasty variety of starters and mains. The pork dumplings and smoked salmon are excellent. Crispy perch was splendid as was mouth watering duck. Others were happy with chicken and salmon entrees as well. The chef is innovative and has a first class wine list as well. Logan is usually booked, so make a reservation. The high ceilings in long narrow room means it can get noisy so Logan is better for couples or small groups, not large ones.

“Tasty,well-prepared food but not that special”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 31, 2014

I agree with a previous reviewed that the Caesar salad was a very small portion. Attractively presented in an artfully styled mound on the plate, with a crispy straw-like crouton, and a tasty, lemony dressing but there wasn't much of it. The pasta dishes, including the Wild Boar Bolognese and Mushroom Gnocchi, were quite good. The roast half-hen was well made but seemed boring. Maybe it was just the night, but nothing on the dessert menu enticed anyone at my table, and they do not have an espresso machine which was disappointing. Nice enough meal but far from the best in Ann Arbor.

“Superb Food, Unique Menu”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 23, 2014

Intriguing and rewarding menu, creative wine list. Marvelous preparation, unique presentation. Delicious selection--Middle Eastern leg of lamb with fine couscous (like buttery grits), yogurt. Interesting appetizers, and lovely desserts. Staff extremely friendly and helpful, if a bit over-taxed. Only one minor complaint--an otherwise excellent Caesar Salad was truly minuscule. Not enough, given how tangy and refreshing sample we enjoyed. All in all, highly recommend, though not easy on the wallet (good value, though).

“Good in part”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 9, 2014

Pleasant ambiance, not too noisy. Good wine list. Very slow service. Varied menu with some dishes much more successful than others. Favorites were asparagus tempura appetizer and the special pear donut dessert. Lobster roulade appetizer had no lobster flavor, just vaguely fishy: I'm sure they used real lobster but not able to tell. Truffled cheese ravioli was ok. Main course of duck confit was spolied by being served barely lukewarm. Plate of mini-biscuits turned up towards the end of the meal and was the best thing we ate. $200 for 4 with one bottle of wine, so not overly expensive, but not good value.

“Great Food / Wonderful Service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 8, 2014 via mobile

My wife and I have eaten here 5-6 times and have always had a wonderful night out. Service is always personable. The owner remembers us with each visit and has always made excellent wine pairing recommendations for us with stories to match. Scallops are amazing.
