Crisler Arena used to be a cramped, drafty old place, yearning for Basketball to be treated as a real sport in the pantheon of Michigan's great history of sporting legends. Now (and after multiple trips to NCAA's Final Four, whether the NCAA wants us to remember them or not) it is a great place to see a game or any event.

This is a great spot for sports fans to take in U. Michigan events. Saw finals of NCAA Gymnastics competition, and was thoroughly impressed with the venue as well as the great performances turned in by the collegiate athletes

Love what they did with Crisler. Do miss it being called Crisler Arena. Much needed additions to Crisler with interactive features on the concourse. GO BLUE!!

The new Center is certainly an improvement, BUT - food selections very limited and terribly overpriced. In many of the upper level sections for the first row seats one can barely see the court because the handicap seats block 3/4 of the view. Guess handicap seating was an afterthought and no one bothered to check the sight angles - yet they don't sell these tickets as partial view seats! Bathrooms often have no soap and hot water not always working. Best thing about the new center is we have finally gotten some decent teams to put in it thanks to coach Beilein!

The Crisler Center is the home for the University of Michigan basketball program. It is located on the outskirts of the campus and not really in walking distance of any lodging, so you'll need to park in one of the surrounding pay lots. There is a $20 lot directly across the street and $10 one further away. Unfortunately you'll need to play leap frog to get across as they don't provide any security or assistance.

The arena itself is large and has the feel of the of a professional one. It was clean and offered plenty of amenities. I was impressed with the number of places to purchase food, while most had the same options, still offered something for everyone. As it was a college game, there was no alcohol available. However prices are higher than they should've been for the food and drink.

Inside the main arena you'll find cup holders in front of each seat throughout the arena (minus the student standing room portion). The seats were decently spaced and offered good views of the court, even from the upper-most sections. The oddest part was that there was no band playing, even for a big game such as Arizona vs. Michigan. They only played music over the loud speaker.

If you have some free time, you can walk around the concourse and see different artifacts, plaques and other items associated with Michigan athletics. There is also a small section dedicated for kids to play. Overall the Crisler Center provides a good place to watch a basketball game.
