We went to the Matthaei Gardens on Sunday after ND/Michigan game and loved the way it was laid out and presented. Particularly enjoyed the Great Lakes exhibit and the perennial gardens; many good ideas for my own garden. Take a couple of hours and visit.

I have been to many botanical gardens, but some of the plants that were exhibited in the conservatory I have never seen before. I also liked that there was an upper walkway where you could view the tops of the taller plants. There is no charge here except for small fees for parking. There are also trails and outdoor gardens. We didn't get to the Arboretum which is in a different area of Ann Arbor.

We visited Nichols Arboretum in June and were lucky to see the peony garden at its peak. Beautiful! Great place to stroll and relax.
