“Great Place for a Walk in the Fall”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 25, 2012

The bars and restaurants here are pricier than those off the beaten path, but few disappoint. There are plenty of colorful shops and cafes that make for a great walk on a fall morning.

“European outdoor dining in the Midwest”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 12, 2012

Main Street on a summer evening is magical, with numerous restaurants offering sidewalk seating and a great atmosphere. I the winter, these cozy restaurants offer a great place for a meal out with friends. As the number of restaurants increases, so does the competition to provide better food and dining experiences. Lots of art galleries and interesting stores and great people watching.

“Lively and fun”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 9, 2012

Main Street is a lively place with a variety of excellent restaurants and lots of unusual shops. The university town atmosphere is evident on Main Street with the unique bookstores and quality galleries. There's also The Ark, a truly unique concert space (mostly folk music, I believe). Judging from the lines of people waiting to get in, as well as the reputation of the place, it's quite the hot spot. But Main Street offers the sophisticated side of life in Ann Arbor. The folk music venue and art galleries do not make this an area exclusive to the college students. There are classy, quality restaurants with superb food and wine lists to appeal to the most discerning patron.

“Busy Downtown Ann Arbor”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 6, 2012

Downtown Ann Arbor is loaded with fine restaurants and is as busy in the evening with dining outside, inside, etc., especially during warm weather, as any resort city.

“Global mix of people and food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 1, 2012

Best people watching ever! International flavor incl. people - lots of colors and nationalities and languages to be seen and heard. Almost all the restaurants have outdoor eating patios and there are dessert shops and upscale arts and clothing boutiques. A bit expensive by American standards but not by European standards. Parking is easy if you choose a storied parking structure (by Palio Restaurant) and is NOT expensive - a mere 6 or 7 dollars for a night out. Great in summer and fall.
