Dominick's is a must see mainly because it is one of the most unique dining establishments I have ever been to; and I have been to Dominick's dozens of times.
A vast menu selection which is found on various chalkboards as you approach the counter to place your order. Mainly Italian pasta and pizza offerings, but there is a smattering of Mexican and Asian.
The sandwiches are large and tasty - great bread. My favorite in this category is the roast beef. Pasta dinners include a salad and small cup of soup. Good portions on the pasta. Very nice selection of local tap beers - but don't ask for a Budweiser! Dominick's sangria is a long time favorite.
The prices are a bit on the high side given that it is not a full service restaurant. The seating is in various rooms on two floors, but if weather permits, sit outside in the back garden area. Mainly large picnic tables, but the outside is as unique as the inside of Dominick's. Also lots of outdoor seating in front of the restaurant, overlooking the beautiful UM Law School.
Traditional hangout for UM Law and MBA students.
