We decided to get dinner as we passed through Ann Arbor. I read great reviews about the beer selection at Ashleys. Parking is a hassle as Ashleys is on the edge of the Michigan campus, I had to park 4 blocks away on a Sunday evening. There is no parking lot. I dropped the family off first - this was wise. The setting is that of a wooden somewhat dark college bar but the place has a lot of character. There were quite a few kids seated in the back on Sunday so my 5 year old was not too out of place. The craft beer selection was amazing with nearly 20 rotating taps of excellent Michigan breweries and beyond! My wife had St Bernadus ON Draft, and she was very excited about that! There is limited food for kids (burger, nachos, fries) but my son had some nachos and my daughter had a black bean burger. I had a great set of fish tacos, the clam chowder and turkey Ruben were also great! We were pleasantly surprised by the good quality food. Overall we had a good experience, got the craft beer we wanted and satisfied the kids as well!
