Great location, friendly, reasonably-priced (considering the few close-in alternatives), completely clean and interesting/funky. Very mid-century. I see some commenters have mentioned frayed carpeting or things with broken handles. I didn't see anything broken, but it's true that if you're looking for a generically sparkly-new hotel room with generic amenities, this place might not be for you. I would always choose a place like this, though, rather than a generic high-rise hotel. And although the place bills itself as a B&B, my room had all the necessary "hotel" amenities anyway -- speedy wifi, TV, soaps and shampoos, comfortable bed, clean bathroom. The room I stayed in also had a patio with a clean and working hot tub, a kitchen with a microwave, glasses, utensils, a huge accessible shower. There are snacks available gratis, bottled water and soda, nice breakfast, little chocolates.

A wonderful stay! The maine woods room was beautiful. The breakfast was moved earlier half an hour for our early departure! And it was tasty. Offered snacks for the road. Did not spend time in the common area, but would have loved to check in earlier and spend more time at the B&B

Excellent Bed and Breakfast, extremely friendly and approachable staff, atmosphere conducive to meeting other guests at breakfast. Excellent breakfast, tea/coffee/snacks always available. We stayed in the Laguna Beach room which was really unique, filled with authentic Mid Century furniture. Very conveniently located to U Michigan. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Laguna Beach room is great

Location was great. Parking on site a bonus. Staff gracious and breakfasts well prepared. Looks like some maintanence would be in order. Yellowstone Room Shower -no hot water, handle broken? Hook on bathroom wall broken. Bathroom door didn't close. Room too warm when we arrived. Carpeting up stairway worn or dirty.

I wish the guest had brought her concerns to our attention so that we could immediately have fixed them. The heat is adjustable. Of course the shower has hot water -- I could have explained how to operate the temperature control. The broken hook and door latch have been repaired.

I would implore guests, when they encounter a problem, to tell us directly, instead of criticizing us on a national website.

The Ann Arbor B&B is well-located next to the University of Michigan campus. The B&B is welcoming and warm with a helpful owner and good breakfasts.

We stayed in the Jamboree Room. It was huge and comfortable. This room has a separate entrance, but is all part of the main B&B building and only 2 steps outside to the front door of the B&B. The room had a great shower. This room is on Huron Street, which was quiet on a weekend, but may be a busy street on a weekday.

If you are headed to Ann Arbor, this B&B is a nice place to stay.
