Whether it's the restaurant or the side venue they call the Den, Grizzly Peak has consistently good food - love the cheddar ale soup and the cherry chicken salad. I'm not a beer snob, but friends who are say that their beer is pretty good, but nothing to write home about.

The beer is delicious, and the food is pretty good too. They have a great hanger steak sandwich and the variety of toppings you can get on your burger makes for a unique experience. When they have their cheddar and ale soup, it is also quite tasty. The beer is the real winner of the day; the pints are a bit expensive but I don't think you'll regret it. The red and the porter are my favorites. Service is spotty.

50 bucks for a couple of sandwiches and two glasses of wine each? That might be OK if there were something exceptional about either, but unfortunately that was not the case. Moreover, when we re-ordered the house wine, our server said that they had run out, but that she would substitute something comparable for the same price. But the substitute turned out not to be the same price at all (it was 2 dollars more per glass) -- a fact that I unfortunately did not notice until we had left the restaurant.

In days past, the Grizzly Peak was a pretty good value. Now it seems to be just another noisy Ann Arbor bar with overpriced food and drink.

The Grizzle Peak brews it's own beers and they are very good. It's a great place to spend a few hours on a Sunday afternoon. Recently the food quality has gone down. This place used to have some of the best food in Ann Arbor. Unfortunately they have a new chef and nothing we've tried lately has been as good as under the old chef. We'll still go, but only for a beer. If you do order food, one nice touch, try will split anything you order on separate plates/bowls.
