I hardly ever get sandwiches here because they are pretty expensive, but on the occasions that I do order a sandwich, it is always big enough to share with another person. The reason I go back time and time again is the baked bread and pastries. The bread is first rate, and if you are a bread snob, this is your place. They sell many different kinds of bread and every month one of the breads is on special and sells for a lower price. I have tried pretty much all the pastries and there are no bad choices here. If you like the bread and pastries you should drive out to the bakehouse near the airport where they bake all of their goods. I used to go there every Monday with my daughters and still go there about 3 times a month. They usually are willing to let you try different breads there.

Zingerman's is known across the country to be one of the primo delis in the US. The amazing variety of its food, the fun atmosphere, as well as the general tastiness factor won't disappoint. However, this fabulous experience can be tempered by the fact that it's very expensive. Four dollar brownies, $8 slices of cake, $16+ sandwiches....it's yummy, but too much for most budgets. Definitely go there for a fun and delicious meal, but you're not likely to make it your daily food source, because of the cost and the richness of the food.

Zingerman's is dependably great. It is a deli widely known. The ingredients are the best available, the variety amazing and the staff as well trained and friendly as anyone could hope. All of this comes at a price, but if you are in Ann Arbor, or ready for a treat you've got to go to Zingermans just like President Obama did last week.

Yes, it is expensive but you get what you pay for. The service, preparation and quality is represented by the cost.

Zingerman's deli has great sandwiches and tasty treats but they are very expensive for the average person. Great ambiance old world deli style and lovable staff. Foodies with deep pockets will love Zingerman's.
