“Everything you like and more”

Every food option is offered here with plenty of samples encouraging you to stay for lunch. Need a gift, also plenty of options..planning picnic, they have it all.. Four of us shared soup (average) corn beef sandwich (when in Rome eat what they make best) and the kale salad, delicious. Seating was crumpled inside but they have outdoor seating which on a warm day would be great. There is definitely a vibe to the place, dessert shop next door a little over priced but a great way to end your meal.

“Great food, not a comfortable setting”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 20, 2014

On this visit I tried the Tarb’s Tenacious Tenure (#73): turkey breast, fresh avocado spread, muenster cheese & tomato. The person who took my order was attentive to detail, and got it right that I wanted to substitute multigrain for the farm bread, with Russian dressing on the side, with half wrapped separately to go. Zingerman's also has great teas; roobios was my choice, and it was delicious. The prices here are hard to justify, but the outing was a special treat for a friend. The dining room was noisy, the table was way too small, and the chair was uncomfortable. Servers coming by every few minutes screaming patrons' names in order to connect them with their orders was unpleasant and disruptive to the flow of conversation. The building, even though recently renovated, needs some exterior paint. Great food, not such a great environment.

“Great Food!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 17, 2014

We went to Zingerman's on a recommendation of a family friend and we were not disappointed! The sandwiches were made fresh to order, it was easy to change up the bread choice on the #42 M.J.'s! The #222 Tuna was flavorful but not fishy! Very, very good! And #11 JJ's Pastrami was great! We also had the pecan pie and chocolate cake! Both so good we ate it all even though we were full from the sandwiches! We will go again to try something different as they have so many great sounding options and if they any of them are even half as good as what we had they will be delicious! Go when you have the time to look around the shop and enjoy your food and atmosphere!

“Zing went the strings of my heart”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 17, 2014

If you visit Ann Arbor, don't miss out on the Zingerman's experience. What a delight to discover that Zingerman's lives up to its stellar reputation. My friends and I came here for our last meal before leaving Ann Arbor and heading home to Cleveland. Cleveland has its share of good Jewish deli's, but none holds a candle to Zingerman's. Everything hums here -- the service, the take home products to buy, and the terrific Jewish deli food, among a great many other menu choices. Zingerman's has taken the riff of the Jewish deli to a whole new level. I ordered the legendary Reuben sandwich and found it well worth the calories. My vegetarian friend found a suitable menu choice as well. I took home some of my favorite cheeses (Cowgirl Creamery) and a terrific British ginger marmalade (after savoring a free sample). Thank you, Zingerman's for proving that great service and food still exists. Ann Arbor can take pride in its famous culinary institution.

“Great Breakfast and Coffee”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 14, 2014

Returned to Zingerman's an Ann Arbor classic. Their recent construction has enhanced the shopping and dining experience. We enjoyed the Corned Beef Hash and Bagel with Lox. Portions were generous as always and they were happy to make substitutions. The menu is pricey but the quality is outstanding.
