Real Seafood is our entire family's favorite spot - we celebrate everyone's birthday here. The food is always great and we all leave full and satisfied. Get a reservation if you can, especially during the summer or weekends. Sidewalk and patio seating available too, weather permitting. Their bar is a great night spot to hang out and talk as well. Love love love this place!

My wife chose to have her birthday celebration at Real Seafood with our best friends, daughter and granddaughter. Besides the great food, if the date your visit Real Seafood is your birthday, you receive a free dinner if two people are visiting or if more than two, a percentage is deducted from the bill. In our group of six, they deducted 1/6 of the food cost (you must have proof that it is your birthday). Know to the important part, my friend and I had blue cod (first time) and we both were very pleased with the meal and definitely order again. My wife and friend both selected the Blue cheese scallops and also were very pleased. Our granddaughter ordered a filet and pumpkin cheesecake which was to her liking. Our daughter ordered swordfish and was very pleased. If you like seafood, this is the place to go in Ann Arbor, they also have one in Naples, Fla.

We often come to Real Seafood for special occasions, and yesterday everything was delicious as always. I had to write about the new salad of tender kale, quinoa, chicken, roasted sweet potato, glazed onion, and Michigan cherries, garnished with smokey almonds. Wow! So fresh. Also I think RS has the best Crème Brûlée in Ann Arbor!

Ate here for Christmas Eve. Very yummy experience. Arrived at 620 for a 630 reservation table of 4 and they were slammed. We didnt get seated til 720. Although we checked in, the hostess forgot to write us down as arrived and waiting, so we were delayed longer. I felt sorry for the hostess as people were not in a Christmassy mood and there was no real waiting area. We had a drink in the bar, but it was packed. Thank goodness Chip is tall and could get us drinks over the crowd at the bar.

We finally sat in a booth and got a kick out of the digital menues. The waiter spilled water on Chip's and it froze up and he had to reboot the screen. We ordered the shrimp cocktail and a seared tuna appetizer, then the whitefish house special, crabcakes, bbq salmon, and the monkfish. Everyone enjoyed their meals which came out hot and cooked perfectly. The garlic rolls and fresh butter were sinful. The house merlot and chardonnay were very good (Rodney Strong), but the Greg Norman red on special was awful.

Our waiter was attentive, but the whole place was full, loud, and crammed, so he didnt linger. It was a festive place for a holiday meal, and we would be back. Make sure the hostess checks you in properly if it's a busy night, and it might be good to confirm your time slot. Oh and for the holidays, as an aside to the manager: seating slots at 530, 730, and 930 might help keep the floor manageable and patrons on time and happier in the long run.

My daughter always loves their steam clams so we go to Real Seafood all the time. We had a late lunch today. As usual the food is good but the folk and spoon had some dried out food on them which was not very pleasant. The fresh caught cod is delicious with steam rice and vegetable bed. The service was very good and enjoyable.
