Nothing like football in the Big House. It doesn't get old - the crowd, the football, the band, cheerleaders, and of course, Slippery Rock scores! And it's better when we keep the Little Brown Jug where it belongs.
It is tough getting out of town with 111,000 other folks but just relax and enjoy the time.

If you can get tickets to a game, go. Take one of the shuttles from one of the bigger motels--ask at the desk for the schedule. The ride is fun all by itself. Dress in UMich colors, learn the words to Hail to the Victors, and don't mention Appalachian State.

The Big House is huge, 115,000 at the ND/Michigan game. They set the standard for fly overs with 5 jets doing multiple fly overs. Only issue is getting out after the game.

There is nothing like sitting in the largest college stadium in the world watching the winning-est team in college football history. The Band. The Jumbo-tron and a game under the lights. NOt to mention that now Coach Hoke is 17-0 at Home. HAIL!

HAIL TO THE VICTORS!!

Returning to the Big House as an Alumni left a bittersweet feeling in my heart. The 2013 Spring Commencement was an amazing celebration of the achievements of the Class of 2013, as they are unleashed into the world and will, no doubt, shape the landscape of the world we know today. Being in the Big House, my heart swelled with pride and memories from the 4 years of college flooded back, I am a WOLVERINE and I BLEED MAIZE & BLUE!!

The school spirit & energy in the Big House today was like nothing I've ever experienced before, and abruptly different from 2009 when my class graduated into the worst recession since the Great Depression.

Laughter rang throughout the stadium as the graduates took their place on the field, and exciting chatters and "Congratulations" beamed from the lips of family and friends! The student speakers, Deans, and even the Michigan Governor gave speeches so eloquent that the 100,000+ pair of hands in the stadium was reddened from the endless clapping erupting at the end of every sentence! Our will was so strong that we even beat the rain! Despite the downpour at 6am, and the dark clouds looming over the open stadium throughout the commencement, sunshine beamed through the clouds, shining upon the now-sworn-in ROTC officers in their uniform.

It was a remarkable day to be in the Big House, and a great honor.

GO BLUE!
