My husband and I had dinner at Kuroshio recently, and enjoyed it very much. The service was attentive, and the food was very well prepared. Interesting stuff. Prior to this dinner, I hadn't yet tried 'blooming' tea. I found that the flower bloom oolong tea consisted not of tea leaves, but of a large, whole dried flower bud in hot water. Very nice, subtle flavor. For suchi and sashimi lovers, there's a sushi bar where you can sit and watch the chef at work. Aside from sushi, there's plenty of fish (cooked) on the menu, and a nice selection of meat dishes (including Kuroshio's take on rack of lamb and NY strip), some of the dishes chinese- or thai- inspired.
Save room for dessert, as there's plenty to choose from. I recommend the lychee ice cream.
As of two weeks ago, Kuroshio's liquor license was still in the works; once it comes through, they'll have a full-service bar in operation.
